Anything that is BOGOF is worth a look in my opinion. Fairly new to this stuff myself but I have tried it - seen it demo'd at a lot of deco events and it seems like a great tin to have for touch ups. Not sure at this price point you'd do a whole job with it - but for BOGOF its worth a look.
I'm told the "smart" aspect is that it will always finish perfectly. Let you decide that.
From the LT site: leylandtrade.com/pro…ace for full info.
Water-based, multi-surface paint with a mid-sheen finish. Suitable for interior surfaces like wood, metal, plaster plus wallboard, concrete, cement rendering, brickwork and blockwork.

sorted byNot really. My standard practice using good quality paint & doing a room without a significant colour change are 2 coats for ceilings & walls & a primer/undercoat followed by 2 topcoats for woodwork. May need more, depends. 2nd coats are always quicker & easier than the first though. (edited)
I usually read the Screwfix reviews as they tend to be a really good guide.
This one doesn't have any yet so I'd steer clear based on these comments.
At that price point , it would be a very good option , it's not what I would recommend as I would reccomend a durable type , but what I would reccomend would be about £40 + vat for a 5L by comparrison
This is professional paint, not the kind of think you get in B&Q. It's designed for people who do painting for a living, it goes on very differently to consumer paint. There was a YouTube video about it a while back, I lost the link but basically this stuff is normally more expensive than the consumer paint because it goes a lot further and is a lot faster to apply... BUT it only looks good if you know what you are doing.
says ceilings on the tin and their website says:

so id say.. yes
S far as I'm concerned "Trade" on a tin is the same as "professional" on a bottle of cleaning stuff, it means it's watered down rubbish!
In the future paint will be sold per Gallon (4.5 litres), rather than 5 litres.
Depends if you want water based or solvent. If water based, when I last looked I decided this was best for readily available satin white.

Johnstone's durable Matt
You won't go wrong then it's great stuff
I use there durable tough eggshell its really good (edited)
As I said "as far as I'm concerned" I've had around 40 years of buying and in my opinion "trade" or "professional" always seems to be of lower quality or maybe it's because I'm not a tradesmen I'm not using it correctly, thanks for the information anyways
Have to disagree, I've used dozens of paint brands over the years and have found Dulux Trade excellent, especially their oil based satinwood.. It's my go to paint for woodwork now. Goes on lovely, settles on the surface well and doesn't yellow over time.. It's not the cheapest, but I've had other oil paints yellow within a year or two, so bit of a false economy and waste of time as you will need to redo.
I seem to get advice that's all over the place and inconsistent.
It looks re-assuringly expensive for a small can
Is that your expert opinion, after you looked at the reviews on toolstation and chose the most expensive one
I shall have to try that one then thanks
.
Exactly that

Depends on what finish you want, and interior or exterior, ,I use sadolins superdec leaves a smooth satin finish on exterior
Exterior wooden windows, South facing, so fairly heavy UV.
Satin is fine but gloss OK too.
Have used the Trade Leyland for a few years now and ok for the money. Would this Smart paint be any good for a holiday let in particular children's room that tends to receive the odd scuff mark?
That product being....?
