There is also a 400ST Campingaz stove for £99 with the same free gas bottle offer. The stove is more expensive but it has ‘Xcelerate burner technology, designed to reduce the effects of breeze’ so in theory will use less gas / boil a kettle quicker. I don’t know how well this works or whether a windshield around the stove will have the same effect.

I have the 400SG that I picked up from the free gas bottle offer a year or so ago and it's so much better than the £40 stove. The Xcelerate tech is very good, I cook most things on minimum, but the main advantage is you can use it in high winds without it blowing out or having to build a wind shield around it.

The SG has 2 rings and 2 grills which you can mix and match, and the grills are great for cooking on without a pan. Highly recommend on this sort of deal!

A 907 refill is about £36 on its own at the moment, £40 for the bottle, handle and stove is a bargain

£36 for 2.75kg of butane is absolute robbery, that works out at about £8 per litre which is actually more expensive than buying those cheap picnic stove cans of butane from home bargains!

If near Hailsham a full bottle can be had cheaper than Go Outdoors suggest though

This deal's a steal but I would probably keep the stove and sell the gas bottle not the other way round. Butane is crap anyway, the pressure drops rapidly when the bottle gets cold so using in cool weather is a no no. Better buying a propane bottle and regulator.

£90, jeez. The last time I bought one of these they were about £20.

It's also worth mentioning the rings on this are 1500W each.

The Aldi £8 stove I posted earlier puts out 2300W

All the bottles were stored in the back at chesterfield rather than on show, so make sure you ask or you could miss out

Don’t forget to buy the hose and regulator kit (£14 members price).

Great deal. However, we had a brainwave and bought a portable induction hob as when we camp we always have electric. This does away with the need for gas, plus you can cook much more quickly than on gas. Finally, you can also keep it in your kitchen at home and whip it out if you ever need additional hobs. Revolutionary for us!

We do a similar thing but use an electric Tepinyaki hotplate. Great as a bbq alternative

Had a look in store ; severely unimpressed with build quality, Camping Gaz made such pukka SOLID stoves..
Grill bit soo tinny, and all the catches and knobs too - makes you wonder if Mike Cashley's gotten his porky paws on the brand á la Karrimor

Cheaper than my current gas tariff.

    Great. Deal.

Just sell the stove on if you just need a cheap full gas bottle!

    Great deal. Thanks for posting.

How much is stove worth alone used market?
    Gog's avatar
My guess, without the hose and regulator, £20-25? because it can be bought new for £40

Picked one up from chesterfield an hour ago so you beat me to posting the deal OP. Absolute bargain as didn't even need to get members card as they aren't working nationwide! Also got 8 butane canisters for £12 whilst there

    got one in Erdington, Brum.

Just grabbed one in Leeds, excellent deal. Now I have a couple empties to return at some point to pay for this and an old green rusty Campingaz stove we inherited to get rid of. (edited)
    _Stuart_'s avatar
Pop the empties on FB at a tenner each.

Just picked one up in Norwich - about 10 907's in a trolley inside, and at least as many of these stoves available. Honestly, outstanding deal - thanks so much OP!

think so. seems to be plenty of stock too but might be worth calling your local store: gooutdoors.co.uk/goo…rue

It still needs a regulator to work as a stove (£15-20)
  21. timmyteef's avatar
It looks like you need the £5 members card as well?
  22. mosschops's avatar
I have a full same size butane cylinder that I don't need anymore. Where's the best place to get rid of this? If I take it to a campingcaz dealer they'll give me the deposit on the cylinder only and nothing for the gas. If someone could use it for cheap they might as well.

Anyone know if this deal is still on?

Advertising flyer stated that is runs until 22 August. Stock availability might mean it doesn’t run that long.

Offer finished in my local - they’ve said it was an offer to clear out the old campingaz bottles and they only have the new ones in stock now. Seems a bit dodgy as I only had the offer through the post on Monday but ah well (edited)
