I've updated my last post but if anyone is interested in first looks vs the Shark IZ201, here are my thoughts:

UPDATE: Just received the Jet 70 Complete today (was out yesterday otherwise would have received it yesterday, super fast delivery - ordered on 19th and would have received on the 20th!). Quick comparisons versus the Shark IZ201 (no pets and only myself living in a house atm):

    - The Jet 70 is noticeably lighter (2.6kg vs 4.1kg). You'd think it wouldn't make much difference but that 1.5kg difference somehow does!
    - The Jet 70 has noticeably weaker suction on carpet in Medium mode vs the Shark on Carpet mode. I did a first pass with the Jet 70 on my carpet and then a pass on the Shark using those modes and the Shark still managed to pick up a non-insignificant of dust.
    - The Jet 70 Turbo head does not glide across the carpet as well as the Shark standard (duo clean) head. The Shark has motorised wheels or something that makes it run along the carpet more easily, even if it's heavier.
    - The Jet 70 might get wrapped/tangled with longer hair (can't test this properly as my gf is staying with her parents). The Shark has anti-hair wrap technology (it's just a fine comb on the brush head though lol!) which stops the hair from wrapping around the floor brush head and this appears to work as I don't see any hair wrapped around the Shark after owning it for 16 months. I can see the Jet 70 already has a hair already around the brush head (I can't remember if I vacuumed before my gf left so this will need more testing/observation for when she's back). Annoyingly though with the Shark the hairs end up getting tangled on the wheels instead so the Shark is far from perfect either.
    - The Jet 70 looks cleaner/more modern to me vs the Shark. This is obviously subjective very subjective but I prefer the lighter colour scheme of the Jet 70 versus the Shark.
    - The Jet 70 isn't as long as the Shark and doesn't have a joint in the middle of the pipe so is not as flexible for going under tables etc in narrow places.
    - The Jet 70 battery seems about even on Mid/Medium level versus the Shark. Didn't really time it but a whole charge just about does the whole house (3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen) for both vacuums.

However, despite all the negatives when compared to the Shark, at half the price I would rather have just bought the Samsung than the Shark in the first place. I don't need my carpets to be completely dust free (I doubt even the Shark is picking up all the dust anyway) and the Shark isn't perfect either. (edited)

Bought this last time and it’s a great bit of kit, previously had a dyson stick, this is quieter…picks up better and I only use the lowest power which is more than enough battery to do a for a largish 3 bed house twice…it has two higher powers but those are rarely needed…I almost enjoy vacuuming now
Its easy to empty and the machine andattachments are light ,easy to put on and take off…really a great price compared to other products which do exactly the same…

Basically same review as me having had one for a few months.

Considering I posted the deal I'm really disappointed lol. Mine arrived today and its just not got much suction at all. I'm coming from a dyson v6 and there is just no comparison. It's clunky and just not what I was expecting

this or the shark IZ300 ? any advise please ?

I just sent a shark back, was complete garbage constantly clogging up and having to poke things up the tube. Also shark were a nightmare to deal with I had to get PayPal involved to get a refund.

Have got one of the Jet 70 Complete and it's brilliant. Especially at this money, heat.

As far as I know it's all washable. Samsung sells replacement filters but all the info suggests just washing them all once a month.
  8. Rich87_'s avatar
How do you claim? Can't see on BLC??
    _Titan_Warrior_X's avatar
Type in Samsung in your bluelight card account and click on ANY offer, I believe. Then go down to the bottom where the title is "great savings with Samsung online". Click on that, that takes you to the Samsung offers store, then just search jet or jet 70, and a list will come up and you will see this offer. (edited)

What is the difference between Complete and Turbo?
    risindread's avatar
You get 2 extra attachments with the complete. Soft roller for floors and mini motorised tool for upholstery.
    Vacuums are the same.
  10. BarneyRubble's avatar
Any offers on the 75? In fact is there much difference between this and 75? (edited)
    weirdo's avatar
The 75 Pet is £174.50. I was also deciding between those a couple of months ago and ended with the 75 due to better suction and an improved battery - it states in the blurb for the Jet 75 and 90 (both essentially the same unit) that the battery maintains 70% capacity after 5 years. There's no mention of this for the Jet 60 or 70.

    Jet 75 Performance
    • Max Consumption Power550 W
    • Suction Power200 W
    • Running Time (min)6 min
    • Running Time (Mid)30 min
    • Running Time (Max)60 min

    Jet 70 Performance
    • Max Consumption Power410 W
    • Suction Power150 W
    • Running Time (min)5 min
    • Running Time (Mid)20 min
    • Running Time (Max)40 min

However, it doesn't handle as well as our Dyson V6 as it is noticeably more difficult to manoeuvre on both hard floors and especially carpets. A replacement battery is £149 so may have to factor in a new one every few years. Don't know why they're so expensive as genuine Dyson batteries are £85.

So I'm thinking of returning the Samsung for a Dyson V10 or V11 instead. Spares for Dyson will be easier to get hold of (e.g. the Jet 75 battery is often out of stock) and also much cheaper as there's a huge aftermarket for non-genuine parts.

Does anyone know how this compares to the Vax Blade 4? Can't see any direct comparison reviews online
    Jonny777's avatar
I had a Blade 3 prior to one of these and it was garbage and sent it back to Amazon after 3 months. Dunno on the 4 unfortunately.
  12. Jj_Gg's avatar
Can't see it on totum. Anyone know how to get it?

Just use any Samsung offer (I used home appliances) to be directed to the site, then search for the device

is the jet tool kit accessory set any good?
Is it something that should be bought for this vacuum?
    admac231's avatar
I bought it the last time this deal came round. Paid £166 for the Jet 70 complete and an extra £16.33 for the complete tool kit.

So far I've used the hose and the small stff bristled brush for the car. I don't really know how else you would be able to vacuum a car tbh - the hose makes its really easy to maneuver into corners, under seats etc.
  14. Deeps567's avatar
    difference between pet and complete?
    daive's avatar
I've been looking at this, it seems like the complete comes with the soft brush included which you'd have to add as an accessory to the pet at a fair price. I'm happy to be corrected though!
  15. Yoshi241's avatar
Current users, would you say an additional battery is ‘needed’?

Considering getting the 75 pet and then the 70 pet also as additional 10%. This would mean an additional battery, filter and spare parts if needed
    truebrit155's avatar
We manage to get a 3/4 bedroom house done with 1 battery but that is using little and often

I wonder how easy returns are to samsung if the vacuum has been used? ....

Should be easy. You could register for their 100 day money back promotion. Then customer service will contact you and arrange for a pick up.
  17. mac3067's avatar
So for a select few then,a bit of a nonsense then really!!! (edited)
    Rich87_'s avatar
Not really, I wouldn't have known about it otherwise and now I own one, so it was a great post for me (and millions of others that qualify)
  18. Ulti's avatar
Tempted by the Jet 75 but decided to just cheap out and go for the Jet 70 Complete.

Also have a Shark IZ201 that I unfortunately paid £250 for so it would be interesting to see how that compares with this.

    Thanks for sharing this!
