Brilliant laptop for the price. I bought a grade B UK keyboard version a few weeks back and it's in lovely condition. Bumped up the RAM to 16gb for another £15 inc delivery (2nd hand from CEX), which was a breeze to install myself. It zips along very nicely and even plays decent games like Inside and Disco Elysium without issue. The next time I'm after a laptop the first place I'll be looking is itzoo.

ITZOO also carry the T480 for £225 with UK keyboard and 24GB RAM pre-installed for anyone interested.

Not worth the massive keyboard inconvenience for a small saving. Half size enter key, @ and " swapped and quite a few other subtle differences that will irritate you.

Apple users should have no issues switching over, their UK layout is a hybrid and closer to the US style.

The 8350U is better and faster, you can easily check on Intel ARK.

If you can get hold of a replacement UK keyboard for it it's quite easy to change the keyboard on these as I replaced a damaged one yesterday at work. Undo 2 screws on the base, push down on keyboard and slide it towards back of laptop, lift it up from the front and release 2 ribbon cables from under the keyboard and then connect up replacement keyboard and drop it into place, slide it forward and tighten up screws on the back. I have replaced a load of keyboards on Dell's and you have to prize plastic clips all the way round take back off the laptop and remove the internal battery to get at the ribbon cable which is fixed to the bottom of the motherboard and threaded through the laptop. The Lenovo seems to be a better built laptop with just how easy it was to replace the keyboard.

I know changing a laptop keyboard is not something some people would feel confident in doing and many can just live with a US keyboard.

Yes, same on the P50. Lenovo built these with device management in mind and its great. Keyboards can often go bad (due to broken switches or liquid damage) and being able to replace the entire unit in minutes is a godsend.

Stunning price for this laptop if you can get over the keyboard layout.

If I can use UK keyboards when I've used US all my life, I am sure you can do the reverse
And there is an actual benefit for the US keyboard - the large enter on the UK keyboard is harder to build well, so hitting it off-center in some keyboards makes it not feel right. The smaller US enter key works as well as any other wide key.

Very tempted at these prices. Can anyone recommend anything in this sale that's decent for work (I'm a teacher) and gaming? (nothing too resource hungry - Hearthstone, Slay the Spire, a few RPGs etc).

T480 is an excellent laptop. Easily swappable external battery without shutting down the computer as it also has internal battery. CPU is beefy with quad core and 8 threads as it's a 8th gen intel ULV CPU.

iGPU is ok. I'm not familiar with any of the games you mentioned but I'm sure it will be "playable" if it's not too graphically demanding. I suspect you will need two RAM sticks to get the best performance out of the iGPU for dual channel. I suspect the 8GB RAM as it's sold would be 1x8GB stick and thus would highly recommend adding at least another 8GB RAM.

RAM fully upgradable with SODIMM DDR4 two slots. I believe it can be upgraded to 64GB RAM in total with 32GB stick x2.

You can easily swap the keyboard to a UK if you so wish. Keyboards are something like £20 on ebay or cheaper on aliexpress.

Screen is FHD IPS but will likely be 250 nits variety. Ok for indoor use.

Would be an excellent as a laptop for your needs. (edited)
