Such is the pathetic recent sizings for carry-ons I find only a backpack will do.

FWIW currently on an 18 day trip with just a 30L Trespass Albus backpack
And that includes a single mattress protector.

Folk take away too much stuff with them. (edited)

Fair enough, and agree easyjet and Ryan Air are taking the mickey just trying to money grab at the gate because they have a captive market and you have no choice but to pay or miss the flight. For me, once you get a laptop, chargers and a few workbooks as well as a change for an overnight stay it starts to get heavy lugging it about airports and tube / trains so I'm happy for the wheels to take the load off the back.

Pretty sure they're both 30L. We got Cabin Max ones and they're so good. 4 wheels is just so much easier to push around too.

I have the grey version of this. I've used it fine as my carry on. I use compression bags and have managed to get a weeks clothes inside.

Is this a well known brand?
Doesn't seem cheap for a small case.

I have one, it's not cheap but since easyjet made thier cabin baggage size ridiculously small and want 35 pounds for the bags that used to work as cabin baggage (and still do on the likes of BA /klm etc) then nearly make it back on one flight.

And in my experience they are now militant at enforcing the baggage sizing on flights checking every bag at the gate and standing with a card reader to charge anyone who exceeds by a cm leading to lots of delays and confrontations

Expensive for the size of small bag

Let's put it like this. You could quite easily end up paying more for your luggage if you carried wrong size cabin bag in error.

I feel like a lot of the size is wasted on the wheels with this one. Not all of them stick out that far

I love cabinmax. I have the Metz rucksacks and they're a godsend. They weigh something like 600g so you can take more luggage. Built very strong, and have the tension straps to squeeze bulky stuff. Sling on yer back and keep yourself hands free in duty free. You can easily fit 10kg in em. Also, when on your back, you can't even feel the weight.

Fully agree, wheels on cabin bags are just pointless unless you are disabled

£32 on eBay. They say minor faults but I've purchased two and scoured it for even a tiny scratch or mark and can't find anything at all wrong with them. Brand New with packaging 👌🏼
