Best suited for a mainly read drive if the above benchmark is correct (Music/Home Video collection, Windows/Linux/PreInstaller, portable apps ..etc ..etc

Do you happen to know how one of these would fare for long term storage? Say for 5 years or so?

This is what I expect a modern day BFG9000 or leaf blower to look like.

I guess this would be good for a emulation drive to store old roms, Isos e.t.c (edited)

No more Kingston, I promised myself. Just lost everything from one of their memory sticks few weeks ago.
Everything just... puf, and gone, nothing left, zero, zilch. Luckily that were just videos and stuff but there was apparently known issue with them Kingston's, I have read somewhere.
So while it is good find and brilliant deal, one would think, I'll pass.

Agrees, the only memory sticks I've ever had die are my kingstons and not just one of them either. They're also super slow and the switch out parts often.

No read/write speed mentioned. I would not buy.

Cause you are so busy you couldn't wait a few minutes. It's that price for a reason and will be useful for many people.

Whatever you do, don't buy the mymemory.com branded flash drives. I've had 2 256gb go faulty on me and they make you return the drives so they can test it then they say they will only send you the same drive back. Not great customer service so far.
