Retailers are extending their return policies for Christmas: Full List of Shops Extending Returns Policies for Christmas

Welcome to the Ministry for Social Affairs and Citizenship (DoSAC), a government department barely registering on the Today Programme radar, but high-profile enough to receive the attentions of Malcolm Tucker, the government's director of communications, whose ferocity is only matched by his skill in delivering incredible, foul-mouthed tirades.

Successive ministers (Hugh Abbott and Nicola Murray) and their backroom team lie, backstab and hopelessly bluff their way through gaffes, crises, Prime Ministerial resignations and possible election dates – only thankful that Shadow minister, Peter Mannion also has little idea what is going on…

Irreverent, brilliantly sweary and painfully funny, this series smashes its way through the corridors of power in a bulldozer of hilarious farce and sharp satire.

Featuring every series, special episode and bonus extra of the BAFTA and British Comedy award winning series. Series 1 was formed of the first three episodes ever made. Then another three episodes were broadcast and called 'Series 2'. Then came the specials. Following on from those came the most recent eight episodes, which were compiled as 'Series 3'. When the first six episodes (Series 1 and 2) came out on DVD, the release merged them into one series and call it 'Series 1', which explains why ‘Series 2’ isn’t available separately on DVD (it’s now part of ‘Series 1’). This release comprises all three series, plus the specials, so there are no unreleased episodes to miss out on.

Combine two of three codes: WORLDOFBOOKS10, WELCOME10 or 6MONTHS10 for 20% total off the standard price making it £2.87. If purchased with another item a single code can be added for 30% off.

Shame nothing is made like that currently. Who needs anything new with the way politics has been over the years? (edited)

It's why they stopped making it, they genuinely couldn't come up with stuff more plausibly outlandish than whats happening now.

Coming up at £3.23! I may still buy though!

Is there a blu ray version? If so is it worth going for? I have google which does suggest there is blu ray versions but I think this maybe a mistake! Thanks in advance.

No idea about a blu ray sorry. 3.23 sounds like only one code applied correctly so you might want to mix them randomly and see what comes out best. You can get a max of two working and it's still showing the 2.87 for me if that helps.

The greatest show ever, use at least quote from it every day

Many rate this as one of the best British comedies of the last 20 years and make little in joke references, but to me it was an omnishambles.

Was a spoof mockumentary type political comedy but pretty accurate for today's real politics

Nevermind now, it was at the time back in the 2000's when it came out, taking the mick out of spin doctors, Alistair Campbell in particular.

They wouldn’t be allowed to make shows like this with the woke brigade, one of the best comedy series ever made but my opinion is as useful as a marzipan dildo. (edited)

What would the woke brigade object to in The Thick of It?

Note that this isn’t the complete set. Series 4 isn’t there. Nomfp.

Wasn't there a movie made as well based on this series? That's the only one I've seen with these characters so I'll maybe pick this up.

Yeah, the movie's called "In the Loop" it's kind of an alternate universe version of The Thick of It. It has the same actors but they have different names and government positions but the same personalities. The only one who stays consistent is Malcolm.

Both are fantastic, but if you don't realise it going in it can take a moment to figure out whats going on.

Love this show and Malcolm Tucker is my favourite spin doctor (and doctor who!)

Bought for £3.47 before Christmas so this is a steal
