Can you tell me if I need to configure this for making different IP addresses for each individual device that I connect?

Also remember that NIC LAG is only faster for multiple file transfer. You won't get 2Gb by having a 2 port LAG. You would be able to transfer 2 files at 1Gb each but 1 file would only transfer at max 1Gb. Single file transfer on a 2.5Gb set up would transfer at max 2.5Gb.

Funny enough this was delivered yesterday and works perfectly which means my 1gig Virgin using a Hub 5 now has 4 x 2.5gbe rather than just the 1 that comes with the hub 5. I'm sure I clicked for a UK so that I'd receive a 3 pin plug but they sent a 2 pin instead. I have a few spare plugs and I needed a 12V 1a plug but the closest I had was a 12V 1.5a but it works like a charm.

I think some people don't see the wood for the trees and with this they just see a 5 port switch for £73 and automatically think that that is expensive for a 10/100/1000 switch without realising it's 10/100/1000/2500 so I'll amend the title if I can. (edited)

I was on the fence but it’s even cheaper now, £58.98 delivered. I’m buying one at that price for sure, cheers OP.

Edit: oops, I forgot about tax being added at checkout, still it’s £71 so I’m still game (edited)

This is a suoer price ofor a 5 port 2.5Gbe switch, no? How come cold? They seem to be around the £130 mark everywhere, or has somebody found them cheaper elsewhere without the 2-3 week wait?

I think it's due to the gigabit ones being about £15?
I don't understand cold either, I voted hot lol

Every other switch I've owned, both domestic and business grade has had power on the back.
What's the thinking of having it on the front? Cheaper to mfg? (edited)

The power is on the same side as the Ethernet ports on most desktop switches and routers. This is the same. This doesn't have a "front" with blinking lights, is that what you mean? (edited)

Heat added, I also have no idea why this is so cold, maybe because its Aliexpress?
