    Is this a good deal if you aren't that bothered about the theme parks and treat as a stabdard holiday? (Kids aren't bothered about Disney)

    I find Florida a bit of a mixed bag. I do enjoy going, we are 2 older adults, we now don’t do the parks but still find lots to do. We have had villas and have stayed several times at the Rosen Shingle Creek. My partner has done kayaking both in Orlando and over at Daytona. We always have a car and do explore. Bear in mind the distances and the time getting around takes which has got longer over the years. This holiday is basic which is ok if you don’t plan only staying around the hotel and International Drive. Melbourne is also a bit of a trek to Orlando as opposed to MCO. Nothing is as cheap as it used to be but it’s still enjoyable. Once you have the facts I’m sure you will make the best choice for you and yours. Enjoy

    Nasa by far is better. We had 14 day universal ticket and went 1 day. Went to NASA and that was brilliant, could have went a couple of days.
    Don't be fooled if people tell you, you don't need a car. We were told that and booked car 2 days before going, best decision we made. You DO need a car and then you can explore. Everything is so spaced out. We drove a lot of miles and it was great to explore.
    Went to hotel but if we were going back, it would definitely be to a villa and pool.
    Just a few pointers as we were wrongly advised and booked on international drive as originally we hadn't booked a car. You are then limiting yourself. (edited)

    Depends on where you are planning to visit as to whether you need a car. If you’re just going to the outlets, Disney, SeaWorld and Universal, then it’s cheaper to use Lyft/Uber. If you are wanting to go further afield and visit KSC, Clearwater, Busch Gardens etc., then a car is a must

    This isn't cheap, for the last 5 years deals with TUI have been available for under £1500 in term time. and that's for 2 weeks.
