These bad boys hit different. They can grind any spice, lentils, pulses, rice, grains, coffee, hard cased nuts among other soft regular items like herbs, seeds, wet/soaked food etc.

How is this different from a regular food processor?

A preferred choice to grind whole spices, steel blade and jar makes that possible.

How does this rate against Ninja and Russel Hobbs? I'm trying to figure out why I've never heard of them before, but everyone has nothing but love for them it seems! It sounds 1000w is the one to go for

I had Geepas and have NutriNinja as well. Geepas excels in grinding spices and blending wet spices like ginger/garlic/coconut.
However, the Geepas I had, the lid closing mechanism did not had a safety lock so you have to be careful while blending. Do not overload as I learned my lessons a few times when things splashed on the wall.
Also unlike UK blenders which will not start until the lid is closed properly, Indian blenders do start without the lid being closed. So you have to be extra careful.
Once I got the hang of it, it was good to use as UK blenders cannot compete it in terms of it grinding power.
However, the power knob broke recently and I could not find a replacement. Emailed the support but no reply from them so had to chuck it out.
Am tempted to buy it again but no replacement parts available is making me think again. It lasted for around 2 years.

Rick Stein used these in his 'India' series. Brilliant kit.

750w is not the most powerful Motor IMHO. however, heat for the price vs product.

Yeah I prefer atleast a V8 mixer or at minimum a supercharged 5.0

I think the brand is ok. I have a Geepas shattaf set. It's awesome.

(I'll let you look that up).
