Cordless ones are now the choice of thieves. Caught some on cctv cutting bikes from locks in busy apartment buildings

Need one of these just for protection against moped thieves. Ill saw right through their helmet if they try rob me

I got uber-excited when this alert popped up on my watch - was slightly disappointed to see it was the 240v rather than the 18v/cordless version which I'm after (lol)

I've got one of these. They have a very high max rpm that somewhat makes up for the lack of power for grinding. Probably not the best grinder for polishing but I like the portability and Dremel style bits with it.

Great price, very versatile, thanks

Grinder :/

There are also quite positive reviews on Lidl's site (Google Translate): But it's up to you if you need more power for twice as much money.

I guess it's only for a light usage

Good bit of kit this. I was chuffed with the performance for the £34.99 I paid for a it a few months ago. No soft start but it's no big deal. Cable length is good and it's not too heavy. This price.... I might even buy a spare.

I have cut metal, stone, tiles, brick all sorts with segmented diamond blades

OK thanks, ordered with the discs!

Incorrect information.

That clic nuts great, I also have the anti vibration handle and case now. Make sure you activate the extended warranty as Bosch will tell you where to go if you don't and try to claim outside the year, otherwise you tend to find a 3 day turnaround if you send it off (bosch collect) as they fix it and ship it the day they get it usually.

Code number would have a 'T' at the end of it if there was a toughbox included. So this would be DCG412NT if it had a box.

Just bought one. Amazon normally around £105 historically. Also 5.0ah batteries £54.99 from this site too.

It depends on how much you're planning on using it. If it's only occasional use for cutting the odd bolt off, then I would say no. But if it's going to be used more often, and for longer periods of time, then yes. Brushless would make your batteries last longer.

What’s normal price for these?

Is the brushless version worth 55 notes more?

Puntastic!!! (highfive) Anyway, cheers for posting OP, have reserved one. The saving on a new lawnmower blade when I can sharpen the old one will pay for this alone.

The OP gave a pretty good explanation. It's suitability is basically inversely proportional to the amount of metal you want to remove.

If only there was an app to help locate this kind of equipment.

Had mine for just over 1 yr now. Great little machine as long as you get the settings right like others have said. Takes some trial and error but once sussed produces some lovely coffee and a decent built in steamer. Look up ‘stretching milk’ on YouTube to learn how to get the milk the right consistency as it’s not just a case of milk in jug and wand straight in. Wish it had a sensor to say when the water level is getting low though as mine is against a wall under a cupboard surrounded by mugs etc so you only find out when no steam comes out etc. Got mine from eBay as a fully refurbed and it’s been perfect. Highly recommended.

2 year warranty wherever you purchase, I believe.

Bought at £489. Not even mad. Worth every penny.

These are very good machines, even as an ex coffee shop owner with a big La Spaziale machine, but I would recommend the longer warranty option. I had one at home and it broke. Parts are impossible to get hold of.

Lakeland will also price match and provide a 3 year warranty

I prefer the ugly ones myself.

Would this allow wet grinding? I mean like some Thai spices for frying not that I do any atm.

There's usually a customer service contact in the manual. Sometimes they give you a label for a courier to collect, sometimes they just send you a replacement, sometimes they send a cheque. Sometimes the store will do a refund, depending on the manager.

Lidl change products every week. I would guess, if it breaks within the 3 years, you get a full refund?

Nice tool, used it now a few times and can’t complain at all. Thanks again.

No need to apologise mate. Angle grinders are a queer anomaly amongst power tools where pro ones cost little more than their DIY counterparts.

Apologies, I didn't realise I was talking Pro v DIY.... I just saw the green Bosch on the same Amazon page and had a extra 100w for £2 more that's all no offense towards the deal intended

You're talking professional Vs DIY, so on that basis no. And I don't know what Bosch green's warranty is but Hitachi's is 3 year pro use, so if the Hitachi was £2 more than the Bosch that would be more than worth it.

Won't the Bosch 700 be better for £2 more? Unless you want to save the £2 for something else that is? I'm sure someone will correct me (y)

Thanks op I managed to reserve one yesterday and collected today from my local so they are available. Almost got a no name brand one from asda few week ago for same price. Glad I waited. Thanks for posting

Good deal but once again b and q are a bunch of cowboys! Yeah it's majorly down on power and cuts out when used . A guess it's mainly for cutting paper and hobby craft .

Maybe I was too quick with the heat. They are £5 dearer here in NI:

I also purchased one of these today. I feel a little underwhelmed with it, it is definitely only for light work. Cutting not grinding I think. I might well return it.

I can have 1 weak coffee a day, 2 pushing it. Any more and I get stomach issues, palpitations and insomnia. It's amazing how it can just happen out of no where.

Ah mate, I feel for you. I too developed a caffeine intolerance but just couldn't give up the brew. In the end I found if I mixed 50% caff and 50% decaff beans I got a brew that was a more or less 'acceptable' compromise.

Just a small note. I ordered a few things a month or so ago & it does take a while ( & a few emails ) for delivery. The items I ordered were dispatch from Portugal and that is where their customer support is. Other than that items arrived well packed etc & were extremely cheap.

Not on yet, but I'll drop you a link when it is. Will be selling Gaggia classic with PID mod, chrome mignon and loads of extras.

I have seen this cheaper at Tk Maxx
