If you're after the beef remember this is only a 450g joint of a very cheap cut (probably silverside). I'm sure everything is nice quality (as it's M&S) but remember that you can buy a 16oz (454g) rump steak at Aldi for £5.39, so if you don't live near an M&S you could probably make a posher Sunday dinner with a better cut of meat for around the same price from Aldi if that's a more convenient option. The sides in this deal are pretty basic, other than the pigs in blankets; although having said all that, this is great value for M&S for sure! (edited)

I always like silverside for a roast.

Just been to M&S Forestside. Don’t bother. They only have 3 mains. No chicken mains at all. Also some of the items they have on the shelves aren’t included in the offer. Rows and rows of them! It’s a disaster! Put the roast offers through and came up at £24.50 multiple times. Absolute disaster at Forestside.

Forestside dates are always rubbish too, honestly, no trolleys the other day, madness!

Get a slow cooker or air fryer, much cheaper to run than an oven.

I got mine and picked up the last creamy mash. Beef goes in the Airfryer and the rest in the microwave. A post valentines treat for the missus.

I’m going to wash it down with some 25% off Tesco wine McGuigan Red which is a lovely wine.

All for under £15 and cheaper than any of my local takeaways. (edited)

If it's one in those little foiled tins, they are grim. The rotisserie chicken used to be class, but also lost its way (edited)

M&S Food has always been very overpriced - not really worth buying anything full price. Wait till near closing time and they will slap the yellow labels on these items. You can then pick up for £4 in total or so.

nope...up your game & go to morrisons ...affordable cheaper & better value i say

    Obviously vegetarians/vegans don't eat roasts.

    They eat tomatoes and cucumbers

They extended this "deal" for a reason.
Couldn't sell that uninspiring combo. Beef - small and cheap cut. Sides are simply laughable. Probably tasty as usual though.
But you are basically paying almost a tenner for a main as sides are worth pennies.
