No VRM heatsink. That's bad, yes?

Fine as long as you stick to the 65W TDP CPUs. I wouldn't try and overclock a 5950X on it, but something like a 5600G would be no trouble.

no 12v RGB or 5v ARGB headers on this board

    Bit much for old tech

I've not seen an AM5 motherboard for less than 160 quid, so 80 quid for an alright AM4 aint too bad.

Bit late in the game to be jumping on AM4. Not gonna have any upgrade path down the line. At this point might as well jump on AM5. At least years later there will be a newer better chip to move to.

AM4 is still solid, with cpus like the 5800x3d.. still gonna be atleast 2 years before you mmight need to upgrade to am5.

Guys, unless you're an enthusiast that must have the latest tech and run everything at 4k 1million fps then AM4 will be fine for many many years to come.

I play the latest games @ 1440p, my pc is a dedicated procrastination station, I don't need to have everything whacked up to mega ultra quality. Medium is just fine for me.

    My pc?

    Just sayin'

    No heatsink on VRMs, avoid.

If all you'll ever do is browse and office Work, then am4 will be good enough for the next decade.

Biggest downside of this board is no USB C, either in the rear or for a front panel connector on the case. Otherwise an alright board
