I ordered yesterday and I haven't had to send the phone before buying it to get the discount. They did a preauth on my card when I did they trade-in for the value of my old phone (£22) and when I ordered the Pixel 7, I got my £22 in a gift card plus £125 discount applied automatically

I have until the 13 March to send my old phone, so I will get enough time to transfer everything from one to another before send it

    Not working.
Shows I have to sent the trade in item first.

I've had pixel 7 pro since October last year. Great camera compared to S21U which I traded it with£150 boost at Currys.
Battery life is on par with S21U.
Screen is worse in terms of colours.
Screen scratches very easily compared to Samsung. My P7pro looks like I've had it 5 years yet S21U looked pristine after 18 months.
Google are very controlling. I cancelled my Google one sub and they've removed all saved passwords and card details in Chrome browser. They've limited my Google wallet so I can't use Google Pay.
I won't be keeping this phone much longer now.

My 7 Pro battery didn't last that. I needed to charge twice a day. Sent it back to BT store. I liked S21U model.

Was a very solid phone but I came from an Samsung s21 U, and I much prefer Samsung's one UI so I decided to return and get a fold 4 for £830 instead.

But the pixel 7 was a great phone for the few days I tried it.

How you can prefer a phone that comes with 60 GB of bloatware out of the box?
it's either pure google or vanilla nova launcher.

after 4 days of use, my newly purchased (unlocked) Samsung S23Ultra One UI with all of its nonsense consumes about 100GB of space on my internal storage.

Has anyone found where the trade in link is on amazon to see how much a device is worth?
    nosluom's avatar
I think you have to use a mobile browser mate, doesn't show on a desktop browser for some reason

So, these trade in boost deals have been around for a week or more now.

The easiest way to do it is to buy a cheap iPhone 5c or 5 from ebay. It should be £25 buy it now, or less with auctions if you want to save a few more pennies.

Trade that in. It'll give you 48p. Say it turns on, but scratched with a broken screen. This removes any possibility of tradein being refused.

You should get the 125 quid voucher to use immediately. You might even get the 48p...

You can then transfer from your old decent phone to your shiny new pixel when it turns up. If you want to trade in your old decent phone, use any service that you like. When you like.

I tried this and although on the trade in acceptance page it says the £125 will apply at checkout, it doesn't.

what a surprise, the 128gb pixel 7 pros sold and dispatched by Amazon have been taken off the site. meaning anyone that is lucky enough to have the elusive £125 can't even use it! this is scam central. I've asked for my phone to be returned or i will file a complaint with the police for theft/fraud. i sent my phone well over 2 weeks ago and heard zip...
  7. ci7y's avatar
cant see the link to trade in on website or app on phone?
    chriskrt's avatar
I couldnt see it either on desktop. Funny, as iam long standing prime customer, with loads of orders, and absolutely minimum amount of returns. I couldnt also see 0% monthly istallments options people were talking about in other deals... I found trade in on mobile app though! It should be right under add to basket button. (edited)

Really poor show on Amazon’s part with the hefty price increase after taking the trade ins , glad I didn’t go through with it in the end. (edited)

49613911-NHUhS.jpgMy old phone is still function but very much damaged, big chunk of the bezel near the speaker has come off, I've selected the most appropriate options and it's seems to still accept damaged phones as part of the trade in as long as its fully functional, which it is, has anyone had any experience with amazon trade in in regards to damaged phones.
    mauropicotto's avatar
    48p ??wouldnt bother
  10. Jamjaw's avatar
How does trade in boost work? It seems I would have to send off old phone before ordering, by which time price might have gone up?
    peroxidase's avatar
I read it that the credit is in Amazon gift card value and can therefore be used on any subsequent purchase. So, no the old phone does not have to be sent before.
  11. Crackpipebero's avatar
Good price but what’s the use of advertising the £125 trade in boost if you have to wait until they receive your phone, wait weeks for them to process the trade in and not even guaranteed the promotion will be running by then? Seems like a whole load of rubbish on Amazon’s part.
    SunTzu's avatar
    Just don't bother then, simple!
  12. alexytin's avatar
Won't let me trade in a S22 sadly.
    realdeals's avatar
The trade value is too high I guess.
  13. just-harry's avatar
    Could someone help.

Can't see where to trade-in or list of acceptable phones.

    TIA
    Robdataff's avatar
Use the app. Click the button. Read. If you want to write down all the phones you see, feel free.
  14. Rozkurwiacz's avatar
Don’t use it they received my old phone last Monday and still did not assessed it
  15. realdeals's avatar
Shutter lag said, well here is some real footage and not talk.

7 Pro in action. 9.15 - 9.45 the true definition of shutter and processing lag.

If you have one try it yourself, I came across this some time ago.
    Tired.Ben.Affleck's avatar
Shutter lag in S23U in medium/lowlight is bigger than on my pixel 6. Go reckon.
  16. Dash_Myths's avatar
So the discounts have been removed or lowered down significantly. And those who didnt get the discount and have sent their decent devices for trade in have been scammed in a clever way. (edited)
  17. Rozkurwiacz's avatar
The price is up over £700 I’m cancelling my trade in now. Scam, I regret using them over google program.

Let’s try to recover my phone then.
    Dash_Myths's avatar
Unfortunately mate for us we can't recover it if it has been received by them . I enquired it with many associates and they all said once received by Amazon trade in can't be cancelled. And that's the reason this is a scam (edited)

Got Pixel 7 Pro and pixel watch Nothing magical with pixel Yes camera pics ok Pixel have good AI processing and Samsung using very heavy sharpening pop up image look Samsung for me have people look unnatural sometimes

I think that only pixel goes more natural look images and i do like this, but for social media you want Samsung phone style images where people can post pop up images and wow effect pictures

This is new era phones where phones camera not play much in pictures quality , but processing AI and as you know google is google and I do think that Samsung it is only catching up with AI and need long time to go

There is not everything is perfect with my pixel 7 pro
Pixel camera takes image quick but if you open photo same time you can see how image still processing ..
Plus on pixel you can not do burst images photos as it maybe save in memory and processing same time and after 5-10 images in constant need to wait when can take again ? Never have this with iPhone or Samsung etc ...

Still now can not understand pixel themes so confusing these images etc Prefer iPhone or Samsung

I know what other say Samsung bloatware but Samsung traying to replace all services with they own Samsung services so they can have all data There are couple services or app where i like how Samsung done them give more options the say native google app

If you want professional quality images buy DSLR camera but this not what people want they want take image post on social media same time they want that images to look pop up with faces slimmer skin tone shiny etc no spots "unnatural with high contras colours etc blue sky etc " and get likes
So be honest what we want from your phones camera Samsung have good images for social media
    Jonwillis's avatar
The best camera is the one you have with you. It's what makes dSLR an issue, they are big and bulky. And whilst I used to complain about the cost (make no mistake the Sony A1 is still £6k) smartphones cost more than most entry level mirrorless cameras. But they are small and compact.
  22. Scotte's avatar
If you manage to apply for the Amazon trade in voucher how long is it valid for? As in, would be worth applying for the trade-in now and hope that the price drops again before the voucher expires?
    phil.willis's avatar
From my experience of doing the trade in for the Firestick on Black Friday last year. I initiated it on 18th Nov and it said it expired on 3rd Jan (as in, they had to have recieved and processed your trade in item by then).

So you can apply for the trade in now, and just sit on your device for a month or so. If a new deal or price drop doesn't occur you can cancel the trade-in request at any time. (edited)

Took Amazon a week to assess my trade in...and now the promotion is gone.

What a mess, I'd rather have my phone back, and now not sure I can even get it back from them. Scam of a deal
    CharlieTaylor's avatar
I'm in the same position, no idea what to do now
  24. kawsar17's avatar
Same as above, what a scam. UPS showed delivered, Amazon saying not received. Now the offer has gone and it's been appraised coincidentally.

Really sly and disappointing from Amazon.
