You can't really judge batteries until they're a few years old or have a lot of cycles under their, err, belt.

Not tested these or IKEA but some proof on the legendary status of Eneloop Pro (mine are ~6 years old), and Tronic look promising (The No.2 one might come good after another full discharge/recharge cycle).

Anyone know of any AA rechargeables that are GUARANTEED 1.5 volt & not stoopid expensive? Looking for a couple for my electric toothbrush which refuses point blank to work with the normal 1.2V AA rechargeables. (edited)

What you are looking for is Lithium Ion Batteries - They are on Amazon, i use EBL ( red colour ) cant fault them. XTRA also a good brand. may be there are a few more but please stick to a reputable brand. You'll also need a compatible charger. ( dont mix it with 1.2 batteries nor the charger )

Good find, but 12 pack for £12.09 is better value for money than 8 pack for £10.04!

    Thanks

pretty similar both are made in Japan. which are generally a lot better than chinese made such as EBL. i've got a loads of EBL ( 2800mAH ) batteries really disappointed in.

Recently purchased 24 AAA from Amazon during a special deal.
So thanks to OP and I just purchased TWO packs of 12 of these.

Mainly for some pretty fake wobbly flame candles which each take 2 batteries each.
