This. Android tablets are a joke compared to Apple unfortunately. Even though I'm a Google using myself, I would get an iPad over a Android tablet

Anyone knows what we should go for for a teenager that wants to use iPad mainly for procreate and video editing. Is this good or do we have to go with more spec, pro? Thanks

I would try and get MacBook air M1 for video editing. They pop up mid £800 ish every now and again.

This or a second hand iPad 7 on ebay for around £200?

Looking at getting something for no more than £300 but is this significantly better than the 7?

This but either get a apple care or put proper screen protector as mine broke after 6 months of use without falling

Plus 3 year return/refund if it broke down (no user damage).
In fact, anything from Costco is a 3 year hassle-free return/refund. So, whenever you buy something electronic or electrical, always set up a reminder for 2 years and 2,5 years, this will give you plenty of time to assess the item, and not miss the 3 year deadline if the item developed even some small issues. My sister completely forgot about the 3 years and just kinda stopped using her vacuum cleaner because it wasn’t great, she realised at 3,5 years that she could have returned it 🤦‍♀️
So, now she purchased a vacuum and set up the reminders

Nowadays, most phones carry over your calendar and appointments/reminders when you upgrade your phone and transfer the back up.

I have this iPad which I use mostly to watch videos. I purchased it for £300 in March 2022. Though I am not complaining, but I am pleasantly surprised to see that it has held on to its prices considering another model (10th Gen/2022) was launch in the market after this model.

They've gone down quite abit when you factor in the inflation over the last couple of years.

Purchased a couple of these from Curry's last October when they were 300 quid to replace a couple of iPad Air 2's. No complaints from the family and better value than the new replacement for their usage needs.

Problem with this is the small storage. It’s going to fill up very quickly

Not if you just use it for a few basic apps and browsing the web like most people it will be more than enough.

Yeah I got mine when they first came out (this model). Use it constantly, mainly as a lab logbook, but also when I travel. No difference in performance since Day 1. Battery does drain fairly quickly though.

Good price for the retail channel, on the grey market, these finish bidding between 280-300

I have one of these for my daughter, usually just for watching YouTube Kids and playing games, replaced an old iPad 2 so massive performance difference and the battery holds significantly longer than my iPad Air 4th Gen which was bought brand new in 2021 and gets very light usage.

If this deal is getting so much heat for an older model, implies that Apple is getting their marketing strategy right. (edited)

Nice price but the air gap under the glass is a deal breaker for me. I'll stick with my 2017 iPad pro.

Sorry but I’m not sure what ‘air gap under the screen’ means?

I’ve got a 2017 iPad, is the screen not as good as this one?

    Thank you (edited)

Inflation + chip shortages. For most people this is still the best tablet available to buy new for that kind of money. (edited)
