    Possible stupid question alert!

    Could I use this SIM in a 4G router, purely for 4G broadband at home?   Or is there a restriction on doing that as it’s not a pure data SIM?

    You can put your sim in whatever device you want and use your data how ever you want. The network is not allowed to dictate how you use your data anymore. Data only sims that cost more are scams now, a legacy left over from before.

    Three are terrible with renewals in my view. I think they confuse kindness for weakness, when I attempted to renew my unlimited everything deal for £15 a month they weren't having it. Now I can just wait a week or two and get the same or similar for a lot less. Good network for my area but really bad negotiations from them.

    I agree, they can be incrediblty stupid with negotiating. My contract expired a month ago and they called me to offer me a new deal and they offered me a 24 month unlimited everything for £24 and i said im not interested in 24 month contracts at all and the lady replied we dont offer 12 month deals anymore so i said okay ill take my business else where and hung up. I then got a few more calls from them that i ignored and texted the number to port out then got a text offering unlimited everything for 12 months at £15 a month.

    You can get this via ID (that uses 3) for around £15.75 a month and ID still give you roaming (3 Don't anymore)

    All networks provide roaming. What you mean is roaming that doesn't incur a cheap daily charge

    I've been with 3 for years - from my first mobile,, but don't trust them anymore. Last year I had a billing problem - rang them up to sort it out and within an hour had a call from a scammer - at first I assumed it was a call-back, but it was only as the call went on I realised he was asking strange questions and the call had nothing to do with my problem. From that day on I've been inundated with scam calls, claiming to be from 3 - I'm sure some rogue employee passed my number on to these scammers. I'm at the point where I'm going to have to change my number. I never had one scam call until last year, now it nearly every day - and now I'm starting to get text scams as well.

    Smarty do a social tariff which is £12 pm if you're in receipt of benefits,slightly better than this deal

    Wont this still be subject to a huge 14.4% increase in April? If so that would make it £19.45 a month and £14.86 after cash back.

    Yes. But afaik if already on Three, you'd need to port away to another network and then port back.

    Is smarty just as good as three? Three offered me £10 for unlimited everything but smarty 50gb for £8 is more than enough

    They operate on the same network and smarty is the only VPNO that three advertises on its own website. They are basically the exact same operator, no speed difference.

    Does anyone know any way of getting a plan with included Go Roam passes? The website mention “Three your way” or “Premium plans”?? I only want sim only though.

    Perhaps instore? Quite a few trips coming up will have to go dual sim route I think.

    Guess many have reached their 90 days now. How soon will them send confirmation email? Is there a way to check if they are actually proceeding the cashback?
