Bought one couple of weeks ago for £84.99. That's a great price but amazon packaging is non sense.

Wow that's bad!! Seems to be hit or miss . I've had a couple of HDD's off them that were packed well, but I've seen loads of comments of them arriving like yours! (edited)

description and invoice both say 16T. Even the page for it gives the 16TB model number

Under 80 is my usual bite price for these when adding to my nas

You would go with a Pro model in your NAS? I have the standard ones in my NAS and a Pro in my PC - the PRO is consderably noisier and is by far the loudest element in my PC, I hadn't considered using them for NAS as the performance doesn't benefit my use case.

Much better than the Toshiba N300. I had to return two Toshibas after about 2 years each as they both failed within a week of each other. They were replaced under warranty without question, but the Seagates are still going strong .. (all were 8tb) and over 4 years old

Unfortunately you are limited to one only, was planning to buy 4 for new NAS enclosure. I also see some posts mentioning this is used, is it?

The used ones were on eBay, I corrected my post once pointed out.
About buying more than one, you can buy any number of the others listed on Amazon as new with damaged packaging.
If you will only buy from the main offering, then ask trusted friends/relatives to buy you the other 3 on your behalf & have them sent to you. Pay them before/after as appropriate.

I ordered one at the weekend before the spring sale, you will get a new ironwolf 4tb as most of the descriptions on these drives wrongly state Pro or a higher tb capacity. All my order details and emails said 16tb ironwolf Pro. Spent over half an hour chatting to amazon last night about descriptions being wrong etc and I might as well have been chatting to a robot with their scripted and unshiftable comments and replies. If you think you're getting a bargain or something better you're going to be disappointed and you will get the item as selected by the buttons to choose size and style. (edited)

Anyone recommend a good NAS for Plex and using as a work drive?

I’d also be interested in a hard drive for a freeview recorder!? Thanks in advance.
