Cold from me. There are cheaper ways to get this deal. Iykyk

Why say there's cheaper ways and undermine the deal/vote it cold, and not share how? Defeats the purpose of the app somewhat...

2 months left on current contract … when it’s over I’ll snap up the next deal like this. HyperOptic are terrible at giving their existing customers deals like this!

HyperOptic have always given me the offers that are available for new customers. Ive been with them for nearly 6 years. You just have to contact them

I wish I had such offers available in rural Yorkshire, best I can get is 66mb at £35

Main problem is in you're in Yorkshire.

Waitin* for my current deal to end and I’ll be going back to hyperoptic. Having left them for BT (fibre 2) due to reliability reasons, the speed difference is very noticeable.

Joined yesterday for the same price. Speed is not Guaranteed but still faster than Sky and BT for the price.

Hyperoptic service has been great for me here in North London, since I joined them in July last year.

How did you manage that? I’m based in NL and it keeps saying it’s not available in my area for years now.

Cheap, fast, reliable, good customer service - never had a problem. Shame no porno filter option for kids though.

Heat added. Not available in my area but it's a good deal

Registered interest like 12 years ago. They serve the road along the top of my street but not my street its self. Virgin is the best I can get here

What a timimg, thanks for sharing this.
Was looking for this price from many days as my contract is ending next month (hopefully this offer stays until then).
Service has been amazing at my place

Is there a certain speed where it doesn't really make a difference, for example, I use my internet for gaming on PS5, watching streaming apps on TV, there's only me and my wife in our apartment. Would I really need 1Gb? I'm with Sky at the moment but want to swap to Hyperoptic who are connected to my premises.

I am currently on 67Mb and streaming apps load pretty much instantly, no issues with lagging or ping on PS5, would I really see a difference between 150Mb vs 500Mb vs 1gb?

In my case doubling my speed to 150Mb would be nice, but for £15 more I could get 1Gb, but would I need it or see any difference (edited)

You wouldn't see any difference for TV or gaming as they are capped at the other end . The only way it would make a big difference is if there were lots of people doing different things. I have the 150mg can stream on the fire TV , play Xbox use the pc all at the same time no problem. (edited)

Just watch - it appears they use cg-Nat unless you pay an extra £5/month for a static ipv4 address.

Granted most people it won’t matter but for me I’d need to add the extra for a feature I don’t need as I can use ddns.

You do get a static IPV6 address, if it's an any consolation.

Has anyone tried Zen Internet? They won best BB provider on Which! website. :/
    CalamityJames's avatar
I was with Zen for 5 years, and my parents still are (on my recommendation) - they are excellent. The only reason I left is because I couldn't get FTTP via Zen at my new house.

If they were ever available in my area again with fast speeds I'd jump back to them like a shot.

I have had the 1gb line for a long time. 8-15 ping in gaming (probably due to the equal upload as download, stable as) overkill download speed means I don't care about uninstalling and reinstalling games etc.

    Highly recommend their internet.

I got the same deal a year ago, but instead of 150mb I got 1gb plan.

Good deal. BTW, it’s Mbps (megabits per second) rather than mbps (milli-bits per second ….which isn’t a thing….nor is it possible to divide a bit once, let alone a thousand times). A lot of people also mess up by using a B (bytes) instead of a b (bits) - There are eight bits to a byte. b for bits is used inherently for data speed whereas B for bytes is used most commonly for memory (e.g. a 500GB hard-drive).

It seems to be cheaper (e.g. £33 for 1Gb), but without the £50 voucher. About the same unless I'm missing something and you still get the voucher!
