In case anyone is interested then I've been digging around for fttp info recently and found the following tools helpful.
Generally for finding out who is the fttp providers in your area and what they cover then use these .....
    labs.thinkbroadband.com/loc…map
bidb.uk/ << This is for roadworks permissions in your area for future work by the fttp providers but it also shows what providers cover your postcode.

Specifically in addition to the above for Openreach then .... openreach.com/fib…ker
And this BT one as well .... broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/ you'll need to compare it against properties with fttp to understand some of the entries/status.

Found my auntie who is only able to get about 11Mbps on standard adsl is in a fttp openreach area and they have provided fttp to her neighbour and stopped there!

    Very useful, thanks for sharing..
Question, is there a website that provides updated information of the broadband providers available on Fibre in your area. BT Fibre is available, but no other partners such as Sky, Talk Talk etc (which I thought they consume BT infrastructure).. (edited)

51337923-umNeq.jpgYeah 900mb my *** been running speedtests at random intervals..
Wired connection ethernet not using wifi.. 1 computer connected.
You';d expect the AM speeds to be higher than lower.. all above taken on the same computer..
that 70upload was when i switched from MULTI connections to SINGLE.. thinking that would make it faster.. all the other where set to MULTI on speedtest.net

Are you sure this is city fibre? as I can get city fibre providers but when I use the checker, it says it's not available in my area

Weirdly I had the same, but putting in a next door neighbour's address it said it was available. When I called up they got it sorted and took the promo code on the phone.

All alt nets typically are quite regional. Give it 10 years and see how many have consolidated or been bought out by the big boys.

Have been using this company for over two years now from virgin media no problems would recommend

Good deal but I need to do some more research on cgnat and see if it's worth it.

You can order the static IP/routable IP option which costs an extra £8/mo. This is what I do, paying £33/mo for 900/900 is still a very good deal.

Have community fibre pay about £18.75 for 500mbps - Black Friday price in past

Got Toob for over a year now, super happy and we never had an issue like we did with VM at double cost.
Only thing I did it was replace for better router from Asus and it’s amazing.

just had emails from city fibre that they are coming to my area not sure how long it takes to do the work they need to but it can't come soon enough it might get virgin to become more competitive

Had toob installed here in Worthing three weeks ago with the £75 voucher offer, smooth installation (under 1 hour) and flawless service so far, hitting 900+ on both up and down. Appreciate three weeks is hardly enough time to give a full review, but things are looking good.

Here's a coverage map showing Toob and CityFibre's network coverage. Just so you know if they're anywhere near you

This is a great deal, I have had toob for a month and am getting 950mbs up and down wired and 600mbs up and down over WiFi. The installation went smooth no issues and I received a £75 Amazon voucher last week so just missed out on £100 voucher. The Linksys router supplied hasn’t got the best WiFi range but I have additional one used in mesh so ok. For £25 a month I think it’s a great deal even without the Amazon voucher.

Had mine installed 2 days ago still not working rung up and was told it will get fixed and will ring back when they got word back from the external team on what needs to be done. Not looking good for me as a new customer wondering if there upgrade my code to the £100 one in the meantime for the messing around

51343610-xyN5v.jpgif you want to pay for halve what you'll actually get. leaftlet says 900Mbps.. both download and upload..
this picture was taken today. 11:25am when i first opened my browser and went to speedtest.net.
I'm connected via ethernet CAT5E cable 10m rated at 1000Mbps bought the same day this was installed.
Can't login to the customer portal.. get an errer has occurred.. so its either phone them or email them.

    This isn't City Fibre

    > both toob’s own network expansion and via a partnership with CityFibre

booo not in my area (heat added anyways) virgin media is so dang expensive
    Klaudiuvs_'s avatar
You just have to haggle with Virgin. We pay £20/month for the 100mbs pack and can get 200mbs pack if you're on O2 with Volt.
  18. welshblob's avatar
Was poking around on this map to see what is available in each area.

    labs.thinkbroadband.com/loc…map

Oddly portsmouth appears to have no toob and has CityFibre. Ignoring the partnership, I thought toob had already deployed their network in portsmouth area.
Not that it matters to me as I live in the no mans land between Southampton and Portsmouth with no toob plans to come here and yet I'd bite their arm off for this even at £29 per month without the amazon voucher. Currently on Virgin and although I don't have complaints about the speed/reliability I do have an issue with the pricing and how they treat existing customers.
    Rob_Yeo's avatar
After my 18 months still got it for £25
Virgin media is the worst company ever
Speed , customer service also increasing prices every year
  19. CharlieF's avatar
Divide the scam speed figure by 8.
    andy2004's avatar
not a scam.. its Mbps.. which is Mega BITS per second not megabytes.. there are 8bits to a byte.
the same thing when dial up was around and you where told 56kbps.. and you thought 56kb download when you only got a max of 15kb
But the leaflet says 900Mbps. i still have it,. you can see my actual speeds via speedtest in my other post
  20. TristanDeCoonha's avatar
They were thinking of enlarging their territory, but it was only for Southampton through to Portsmouth

very good price and its city fibre but router is shockingly bad so get your own KIT and your be well away
    dcx_badass's avatar
Is that the old Sagem router though or the new WiFi 6 linksys?

Hope this deal will be available next year when my Virgin contract finishes and if Virgin do not give a good deal!

    andy2004's avatar
not getting what they said in speed anyway. infact i'm getting HALVE the speed..
ironically i'm the only one in my neighbourhood on them.
