Retailers are extending their return policies for Christmas: Full List of Shops Extending Returns Policies for Christmas

Series one and two of the BBC comedy, set in the environs of The Grape, an old-fashioned Manchester pub where the regulars spend most of their time. In series one, discarded fag ends are casusing the urinals to block up, tension mounts as the winner of the football sweepstake is announced, and Joan (Lorraine Cheshire) and Eddie (Mark Benton) celebrate their anniversary. In series two, forged banknotes start appearing in the pub, but who's responsible? While Duffy (Phil Mealey) faces up to single life, Ken (John Henshaw) the landlord begins to think about chucking the towel in, although he hasn't reckoned on the charms of Tanya (Susan Cookson) convincing him to keep the pub open.

Really, really under rated. Better than the Royle Family. Phil & Nige just brill. If you didn't shed a wee tear at the last episode, Mel's birthday party. And don't mention the gorgeous Tanya 😁 (edited)

One of the funniest things ever! Fully recommended especially if you are old enough to remember a certain era. This was the era of the old local pub back in the day. The days when the local Bobby would call into the pubs on his beat for a swift half. Those of us of a certain age will immediately identify with it. I loved it!
