Enjoy the freedom of movement of the cordless Tefal Freemove Air FV6551 Cordless Steam Iron.

Power through your ironing pile thanks to the super-smooth ceramic soleplate, leaving you with more time to relax. And for increased stability when ironing, simply put the base onto your ironing board. Plus it's easy to slide the iron on and off when in use.

FV6551 recharges rapidly every time you put it on the base, so you'll have enough power to finish your ironing off. And when the power gets low a smart light alerts you to recharge.

Your fabrics are kept spotless thanks to the Freemove Air's anti-drip function. It also has an anti-scale system to prevent against lime scale build up, helping to maintain long-lasting performance. And with descaling solution, you can easily keep your steam iron in perfect working condition.

Good deal, in terms of price.

I own this iron, but I wouldn't buy it again. I didn't read the small print, I assumed it had a good sized battery i.e. 15-20min. The reality, it's 25 seconds of ironing with 11 seconds of charging.

If you iron as you go, one shirt, jeans and that's it then it's a good iron. Lightweight, heats up quick and having no cord is nice.

If you batch iron (more than 5min) don't bother. I counted and to do one shirt I charged it 15 times. You iron a small section, it then beeps at you to tell you need charged, dock it and wait 11 seconds, get another section, and it's beeping again.

You might think 11 seconds isn't bad to charge it but when it's constant just standing waiting it's annoying. Stick to corded until the technology improves.

God, that sounds awful - thanks for the heads up

There's a good price on a 3100W iron on amazon- corded. I've just bought it and it's absolutely amazing. I've had cordless in the past and as above they are rubbish. If anyone wants a link happy to share

Personally I love the cordless feature, picked one up in a charity shop and had about 20 years of use from it, recently had to replace it, no hesitation in buying another cordless one and love my new one too

I must be showing my age but how does a cordless iron work?? Will it stay hot enough? In theory it's a great invention, but I'm sceptical....any users here?
