Ok price, as above paid £45 a few weeks back. Its my first airfryer and im still learning but it cooks well and has a decent capacity.

To learn about airfrying, consider the heat conduction to the middle of the food. Thicker stuff needs more time for the heat to penetrate, so you need to drop the temperature to avoid burning the outside before the middle is done.
Thin stuff like oven chips will cook in about half the time at standard fan oven temperature. But thick stuff like pies need more like 75% of fan oven time at about 20c below the advised fan oven temperature.
A probe digital thermometer will tell you how the inside is doing, and can be under £10 (though a Thermapen, from ETI on eBay, is worth the extra for speed, accuracy and robustness!)

This is usually on sale at £45 several times a year, got mine last summer at the reduced price.

Got one when they were £45. It was really good until the display and controls (basically the whole top panel) just died after about 3 months. Took it back for a no quibble refund, they didn't have any to replace it with, shame really. If I bought another air fryer I would probably pay more for better built one.
Not knocking George stuff, but you either get things that last or you don't, it seems rather random.

As people have said was £45. Was so good I was going to get another. Would still have worked out cheaper than the dual basket ones.

It is a really good air fryer - great size, easy to use, and very easy to clean. But early January I bought one in store for £45 as mentioned below. I'd done a Click and Collect for a Scoville 4.3L at £39 from Asda but saw this one when collecting the Scoville so got a refund and bought this instead.

Got this in January after being sceptical of all the fuss about air fryers - very happy with it (family of 4) does what it should - massive pan/bucket for air frying.

Ive got this and the only thing which is annoying is the temp and time always reverts back to 200° and 15mins after each use.

Same as above they had 10% back on asda app at xmas so picked up this beauty for £40, its very good so even at this price its worth a go if you need one.

Also got this at 45 quid, as an addition to the Tower one with the shelves.

I can honestly say the asda one is the better fryer at half the cost of the Tower

I bought some 3L manual knob job from Tesco (Tower i think) for £35 down from 50 in Black Friday event on the back of the air fryer hysteria last year. Was impressed with fuss free cooking etc. Then late Dec or Jan this year the above was last one on shelf at Asda store for £40 at 6L+ and digital gubbins. Bought it for the larger size as value on a pound per space basis compared to the tesco one and the George one is bloody brilliant, Tower packed away now. At 59 for a Large family fryer is still value for money.

I might have to upgrade my 2L Tower on this advice

Thanks OP. Some of the reviews are good but from 3 days ago they say they bought it for £45.

There so many air fryers on the market, its flooded with them. Has any media done a best of and value for money, reviews as to which is the best in each category? etc.

That is a shame I bought the 2L which did have a battered box but luckily the air fryer was completely untouched
