Ive never understood the pricing of these machines; all they seem to do is warm water, prick a hole in a capsule and then dispense said warm water…or am I missing something? (edited)

You wouldn't want to drink just water dispensed through a capsule. There needs to be a good pump (classic range) or the rotating thing in the Vertuo range. The machines are actually not that expensive. They make money on coffee capsules.

Arguably, it makes good coffee, cheaper than from a coffee shop. The cost can be reduced further by using 3rd party capsules.

Thanks OP and . I've purchased because I've got the £20 off £60 AMEX offer.

£59 for machine + 50 pods, plus £12.50 for aeroccino + some more pods, feels enough of a bargain to give this a go.

And even if I abandon the machine/pods completely, £71.50 for the aeroccino is still cheaper than it is on Amazon!

(Plus TopCashback has tracked at £7.70 ) (edited)

My coffee machine arrived yesterday, and I've had my first pod this morning - lovely stuff!

I've ordered 50 pods on the subscription using the deal code that came in my box, and it added the Aeroccino 4 to the order summary and deducted £12.50 from the cost (so my selection of 50 pods came to about £16).

    All in (if the TCB pays out) - it's the machine, the Aeroccino, and 100 coffee pods, for £79 + £16 - £20 (Amex) - £7.70 (TCB) = £67.30.

So I consider that as being about 67p per coffee (which isn't far off the average RRP for the pods) with both the machine and Aeroccino really costing nothing.

    Hugely appreciate the post

If anyone has any tips for making good CUPS of coffee, please share. I need to work out which of my pods I shouldn't be messing with and should just be appreciating as the espressos they're intended to be, and which others I can be turning into nice Americanos/flat whites/cappuccinos (and how best to do so!). The Vertuo machines are worth almost nothing - the 50 capsules you can sell for £35. But if you add up the free Aeroccino4 and can make use of the £75 credit on the capsules then you are still quids in.

You don't have to use the subscription credit on Vertuo capsules although I seem to remember that the first time I did this deal there was a warning popped up that I was ordering Original Line capsules and not Vertuo ones but that was all......I had a 6 month subscription and only ever ordered Original Line.

did anyone else receive 70 capsules instead of 50?

I rang them up, it's because they've ran out of stock of the assortment so this is the replacement (the extra 20 capsules)

Previous Aerocinno giveaways tend to be Aerocinno 3’s. There’s more pro’s with the 4, namely that it’s dishwasher safe and easier to clean.

This aerocinno is it any good?
    I've thought about buying one

Bought one about a year ago on a similar deal. Wish I'd waited for the dishwasher safe Aerocinno 4.

This is an Amazing deal!  Basically when you take everything into account technically you get 50 capsules, the coffee machine and a frother for £4 when you consider the £75 credit towards your orders. Absolute bargain.
I used to have a bean to cup and this makes way nicer coffees. Lot of different flavours and kind of coffee to chose from and the coffee always comes out amazing and tasty. I have no regret switching it to Nespresso and really looking forward to my coffees now.

With the £75 credit off your first 6 orders with Nespresso Plus (£12.50 per order), is there a minimum spend?

I think the main thing to note about these vertuo machines is that the pods can contain a lot more coffee than the standard Nespresso ones. I think the limits are something like 15g Vs 7g. Also not sure about supermarket availability of vertuo capsules. (edited)

for the £75 off 6 orders (£12.50 per order) what is the minimum spend per order?

I believe it’s £12.50 off the £25 plan. Half price for 6 months but you can cancel the subscription anytime

Word of warning, people are being heavily advised not to buy these on Nespresso forums etc. They have been breaking in mass numbers, just Google it.

ive just got the L'OR Barista Sublime from the other HotUKDeals post. I don't need the machine but need a milk frother. Is there anyway that I can sell the vertuo machine (with 50 vertuo capsules), keep the milk frother and use the £75 credit for nespresso original capsules? Or does that sound crazy? Is there a more cost effective way of getting a milk frother? (edited)

Are the promotional subscription codes individual? I’d like to get one of these subscription offers but don’t have a code.

Yes it will be, otherwise everyone will grab this for an Aerocinno alone

Hi. Got my order today. Is there meant to be a card or something to allow you to subscribe for the free milk frother? Can’t seem to find anything in the box!
