Cloudy, milky and yellowed lenses can reduce headlamp function at night or during poor visibility conditions. Turtle Wax Headlight Cleaner and Sealant is a quick solution for removing light oxidation and yellowing from your headlights and rear tail lights.

Turtle Wax has been working with the latest precision polycarbonate restoration technology to develop an easy to use system for consumers. The Turtle Wax Headlight Cleaner & Sealant is recommended for the removal and restoration of oxidization from automotive clear plastic headlight and taillight lenses, or for removing scratches from clear plexiglass, plastic windows or other translucent plastics.

Restore original headlight lenses at a fraction of the cost of replacement lenses and replacement time!

2-IN-1 HEADLIGHT CLEANER & SEALANT 4122721_1.jpg
HOW TO USE: 4122721_1.jpg
STEP 1 Wash & Dry the lens thoroughly using a Turtle Wax Car Wash Shampoo.

STEP2 Shake the bottle well and apply a small amount onto a folded cotton cloth or applicator. Rub product on entire lens with firm pressure until plastic becomes clear. Re-apply formula to your cloth or applicator as required.

STEP 3 Buff the entire lens with a clean microfibre cloth. Occasionally fold the cloth to reveal a fresh clean side.

Tip: Only work on one lens at a time. Once complete move onto next lens.

RESULT If the lens is not completely clear repeat steps 2 & 3 until desired result is achieved.

TURTLE TIPS: IMPORTANT Always test on a small area first to determine if this product produces desired results. If not, discontinue use. To maintain the lens clarity, use regularly to keep headlights looking clear for years! For more heavily oxidized headlights, use Turtle Wax Headlight Lens Restorer Kit.

Or cheap toothpaste from Aldi for 62p, which does pretty much the same and leaves a minty fresh scent as well.

How exactly does toothpaste seal plastic?

How good is the sealant aspect? Ive used headlight restorers in the past that began yellowing again about a year later

Mine hasn't been on that long as yet, but there's loads in the bottle so should last for ages. If it lasts a year before I have to do them again I'll be happy. (edited)

Is it worth getting the kit for 9quid instead of just this?

If you fancy putting in the leg work that comes with that kit then yes, they're different products. This is a simple rub on rub off. The other kit involves sanding too.

Same price at Halfords - £4.94 with Trade Card

Well worth a punt at that price - my Mum's Jazz has very hazy headlights.

I have a proper kit somewhere (3M polishing discs and paster) but I'm more likely to get around to using this

I hate having to repeat work, so after sanding and polishing my headlights I used a ceramic coating to protect it.
    davester2k's avatar
    davester2k
You don't.....you put a load of ceramic on there which has no adhesion to polycarbonate despite what the manufacturers of the product you buy say.

How does this compare to actually sanding down and polishing headlights? I assume sanding down will give better results and will last longer?

just clean your headlights to remove all dirt first then just use this as per the instructions works well and keeps headlights clear done mine nearly a year ago and still clear, you can do both headlights and should take you 5 mins or less
