About this deal

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Update 1
It can take up to 24 hours for your £5 bonus to be added to your account

At hotukdeals we are all about saving money, and now for 2023 it's also possible to earn some money by taking surveys!

Participating in market research surveys and getting paid some £ in return is as old as the hills. In partnership with CPX Research (part of the Make Opinion group ) we managed to get a nice bonus on top of the usual rates

The Deal:
Get an extra £5 bonus for the successful completion of five surveys (offer limited to the first 1000 users).

Anyone can sign up, and many of the surveys only take a few minutes to complete, so why not answer 5 surveys that interest you, and make some easy money?

The surveys will still be available after the offer is finished, but there will be no additional £5 on top of the going rate.

The example below of some of the surveys that may be available

💷 How do I get paid?
The more surveys you take, the more 'money' you earn. Once you have reached a total of £5 you can convert your 'virtual' money into something more concrete via a PayPal transfer or a gift voucher - with over 90 options to choose from, including

  • Amazon
  • Argos
  • ASOS
  • B&Q
  • Butlins
  • Buyagift
  • Costa
  • Currys
  • Decathlon
  • Deliveroo
  • Ember Inns
  • Habitat
  • Halfords

  • Wagamama........ and lot's more!

📝 How do I sign up?
To register, hit the 'get deal' link, enter your email address (you don't have to use the same one as your hotukdeals account), and your date of birth.

➡️ To start off, you will be asked to answer a slightly longer survey, providing information about yourself, so you are offered surveys that match you and your lifestyle/interests. Don't be surprised if you are asked about your occupation, the number of children you have, or if you are married for example. The goal is for you to have access to surveys that are related to your profile and that you can answer.

💡 IMPORTANT: If you see a blank page when you click on "Surveys": disable your ad blocker.

4103961_1.jpg

❓ How will I know if the £5 bonus has all been claimed?
Once the 1000 users have qualified for their £5 bonus, and the bonus is no longer available, the below banner on the 'get deal link' will disappear.

You can still continue to complete surveys and earn cash even after the bonus is finished.

4103961_1.jpg

✔️ Will I be accepted onto every survey?
Depending on your answers, you may not be able to complete a poll. For example, if a survey is about a vacuum cleaner and you respond that you would not consider buying a vacuum cleaner in the near future, then it's unlikely you will be able to continue with this particular survey.

📊 What about my data?
Ultimately this is about market research, as far as your data is concerned, these surveys are meant to obtain personal information about you. If you prefer to remain highly anonymous on the Internet and not share anything, then you will likely not want to participate. However, CPX Research and Make Opinion are committed to respecting and abiding by GDPR.

💡 Some tips on how to make the most of the surveys

1. Time planning: Did you know that most polls always take place between Tuesday and Friday? These days are perfect for doing some polls on your lunch break or in the evening in front of the TV!

2. No rush: While it can sometimes be tempting to quickly skim through a survey, correct and consistent responses guarantee a successful outcome.

3. Less is often more: Of course, surveys for which a larger amount is paid are always very tempting. But many short surveys actually pay better for your time and are more enjoyable to answer too!

4. Rejections: Despite all the tips and tricks, it can often happen that you don't fit into the grid you are looking for at an early stage, especially at the beginning. On the one hand, this is due to the fact that the system does not know much about you at the beginning and therefore shows you, in doubt, 5 surveys in which women are wanted, although you are male, and on the other hand, there are now and then surveys in which the special qualification comes later in the funnel. So you may be the right age, have the right gender, and come from the right region but have the wrong job.

5. Device: It makes sense to change the device from time to time. A lot of surveys are only played on a mobile device or just on a desktop. In order to exploit the full potential, it makes sense to change both from time to time.

6. Honesty: The panel is provided by a professional market research company. Years of experience mean that there are now many levers to detect fraud attempts at an early stage. So there are a few important rules so that you can participate in the long term:

  • Answers that are too quick and do not make it possible to have actually read the questions lead to long-term exclusion after repeated warnings in case of doubt.
  • So-called "gibberish", so answering open questions with "nonsense" is also a reason to fly out of the survey
  • Too many accounts from the same IP address are also noticed early
  • Test questions are often built in, for example question 1 asks about the birthday and question 5 about the age, or a single choice question is “Tick green” and the answers contain 5 other colors. Here, too, false information will lead to disqualification in case of doubt.

🎫 Surveys - Vouchers for your opinion - Help!
The following surveys are provided by our partner Make Opinion GmbH. If you have any questions or problems, the Make Opinion support team will be happy to help you via the help button in the surveys page.

🆘 What if I have some issues?
If you happen to get thrown off a survey after nearly finishing it, you can contact the support in the 'help section', and you may be able to receive a small amount of compensation for this.

Why not just create a spare email account for these kind of things and freebies etc? And not use your real name

Tried 3 surveys I'd 'qualified' for after the initial screening - rejected from all of them!

It's worth reading through the Survey Basics - there are 6 tips on Survey Basics that should help, I've included a few of them in the post, but you can see there is a section on 'Rejections' that may be useful:

Just a little note to mention that it can take up to 24 hours to receive your bonus, so hopefully a few of you will be receiving these very soon!

I know some of you are a bit frustrated at being rejected on some surveys ( I did some last night, so I get you!)

    The nature of these surveys

    • It’s highly likely to get rejected while you are doing a survey. This is just how these surveys work: If you are not in the target group, you are out. So it's likely you won't just do 5, but more. And yes, questions will be repetitive ....... very very repetitive at times.

If you do get thrown off a survey after nearly finishing it, you can contact the support in the 'help section', and you may be able to receive a small amount of compensation for this.

    • If you are reaching out to the support please mention they are coming from hotukdeals, they will try to prioritise your request (but no guarantee)

    Hope this helps

Once u get the right surveys its easy peasy money. Alot of repetition answers but last night did a few surveys and just now they added my £5 on. Worth a go if u have an hour or so to spare.

    Thank you

Do you receive the £5 bonus after the 10th May, if you've qualified?
    millarcat's avatar
    Author
You should see the bonus after the successful completion of 5 surveys, so no need to wait until after the 10th May
  8. Adam's avatar
Remember with these surveys they look for specific people, that's why there's so many repetitive questions. The more information they have the more relevant the survey, more relevant surveys normally give a higher paying reward.

It is possible to get the £5, i have just completed the goal.
(I am very active on other providers so i get more relevant surveys that don't screen me out.)

Hotukdeals I guess receive the un capped 10% on all questionnaires people finish.

You are perhaps best to use partners phone to refer yourself to the app. You will gain the payments and partner will receive the 10%.

Its stupid waste of time. I had to answer the same questions on the trot just to see if I qualify for the same survey

The tool may ask you a lot of repetitive questions at the beginning, so please be patient with it. However, things will become much smoother once you pass that stage.

Aww, that's a pity, yeah the first survey will be longer as you need to provide them with a base of information about yourself, so you can then be offered surveys that match you and your lifestyle/interests. Further surveys then flow from the initial info you provide

Spent 2 hours and was qualified for one survey in the end. I give up.
    jbroomey's avatar
Same here. You can't make someone do an entire survey then tell them they don't qualify.

It would be like going to a restraunt eating the entire meal and then telling them you had changed your mind and left without paying.

The amount of repetitive questions is unbelievable - I lost count how many times I was asked my age, post code, region of the country I stay in and the household income !

And after entering those answers 100s of times, each time rejected, not looking good this. Too much effort for a fiver that seems more elusive then winning the national lottery !
    CPX_RESEARCH's avatar
Please exercise patience with the tool, especially during the initial phase where you might encounter a lot of repetitive questions. However, the process will become smoother as you progress.

so far it's asked me 4 times what region i live in and 3 times what my annual salary is
i've not even got to a survey yet.....

edit: now asked to enter postcode twice.
this isn't the kind of information that changes every few minutes so atm, i think I'm just having my details sold to every "partner" of Pepper (edited)

I have spent 13 mins so far on a supposed 5 min long survey that I haven't even got to start. Was supposed to be a 5 min survey but I have spent 13 mins answering the same questions over and over about postcode, what my job is, what is the main income earner role, even though I have answered them all many times already.

I see some others said the same.

It seems stuck in the asking questions before a survey, and never gets to the survey and never says I am not eligible, it just keeps asking the same questions over and over.

Edit: it has been 19 mins now and still not started the 5 mins survey..
Asked postcode 3 times, If I work about 10 times, what I do for a living again about 10 times and profession of the chief income earner in your household is about 19 times, and I am STILL getting the same demographic questions over and over. It never proceeds to the survey.

UPDATE: oh it credited me after 20 mins, but I think the initial pre-survey questions are bugged as they shouldn't repeat over and over and over for that long. Same questions, slightly reworded each time.
And another survey worked, although asked more repeat questions, but nowhere near as many, so must be some surveys have more repeat questions than others. Odd. Will keep trying.

Final update: I completed all 5 after having errors on many that failed to reward me, but even after 5, no bonus yet. (edited)

Completed it now but no bonus?

Tried changing goal but that didn't work either.

I will wait and see if it gets applied later. Most got it instantly so a bit wird I haven't gotten it yet.
Will see what happens by tomorrow.

Definitely worth signing up to. Seems decent so far, other than the annoying repeat screener questions and errors during surveys are the only real issues I have come across. Worth using (edited)

Hi your bonus should be applied within 24 hours

Well done on completing your 5 surveys! The page will likely refresh in an hour or so and give you more options should you want to complete more
  32. Hb1815's avatar
Spent nearly an hour trying to answer surveys to be told I've either picked too many and it's unrealistic (to own a phone, TV, pc, laptop, music device, dvd player, Google assistant, camera and games consoles..? Or to have bought hair products, shampoo, conditioner, nappies and clothing within the last 6 months?) I'm answering too fast... you don't know how quick I read. Or just to spend 10 minutes on a survey to tell me I don't qualify.... Surely you knew that when you asked my gender and age at the start!?!? Rubbish tbh, wouldn't recommend, easier ways to make money.
    YoEvery1's avatar
I totally agree, the money paid out from these survey companies are people who tried to qualify for it. These companies don't allow it though as its technically false data your giving them but if you don't want people to try and qualify for it it then make the surveys easier at least. Rubbish how all these survey sites work and a massive waste of time.
  33. user777's avatar
So, I qualified for £5 "bonus" and requested £10 payment over 2 weeks ago. Still waiting... despite confirmation message saying 2-3 working days.
Sent them a ticket about the issue week ago and upon clicking submit button got a message about response time being 5 days.
What a joke and waste of my time for nothing.

My bad as I thought it'd be a direct deposit into my Paypal account...

They pay via voucher send from Make Opinion GmbH via Tremendous
which then needs to be redeemed. And I got it within hours since asking for it - but didn't notice it... (edited)

This is awful, tried to complete the initial survey and was asked 6 times if you could use my webcam to gauge reactions?!? Was asked the same questions over and over, so stopped as my sanity ran out!

Please exercise patience with the tool, especially during the initial phase where you might encounter a lot of repetitive questions. However, the process will become smoother as you progress. The Webcam thing is just for a small amount of the surveys we offer daily. So at some point you will not be asked anymore!
