This seems like the cheapest smart thermostat radiator value, especially compared to the bigger companies. It looks like you need a box to connect them which is another £8. The reviews are also pretty good but I can’t speak for the reliability as they are pretty cheap. Shipping from China

I have 10x of those hooked up to HA and zigbee2mqtt, working great. Can recommend. Way better than all my Hive TRVs that died after 3 years, had problems syncing and were unresponsive.
Tread carefully....I have 24 dud TRVs...
higher than the TRVs and use the ZigBee app to control? Thank you!
For example, your living room (if that’s where your Nest is) could be 22 degrees and the Nest is set at 21. Your bedroom could be 18 and it won’t be getting any warmer because your boiler is off.
Now, you could set your Nest to 23 in the living room, which will bring the boiler on and allow the bedroom to warm up, but then before you know it, your living room is 23, you’re too hot and your bedroom only got up to 19.
All a bit of a joke really. These are really designed for places with district heating systems, where your house/apartment has a permanent hot water feed for radiators.
Put your hand in you pocket and get something better. I have Netatmo, thermostat and 14 valves. Had the setup for about 4 years and it’s flawless.
As mentioned by others, these things just aren't reliable and it'll be money wasted when you could've just paid more on top to to have things done properly the first time.
Also, eing zigbee, would these then work with Hue app (have a lot of hue bulbs and have hue hub also). TIA.
They are controlled via smart things app, but I have them integrated to Google home app as well. They are compatible with Alexa as well, if needed
I'm assuming each TRV will be able to fire up the boiler when the temperature drops below it's set temp, to heat just that location/room? (edited)
What I was able to do with my Aqara one was buy their separate temperature sensor which I have placed on the opposite side of the room to the radiator, so the TRV uses the temperature value of the dedicated sensor rather than its own internal sensor. It's been working great since then, but it was annoying that I had to buy an additional sensor for £15-20 to get it to work right.
I do wonder how much gas I'm actually saving though, compared with the price of the TRVs
I would highly recommend buying rechargeable batteries of a reasonably high capacity. I stupidly used poundland kodak batteries and they barely lasted a month. However I recently bought 2800mah rechargeable, and those are working perfectly now, barely 10-15% battery usage per month.
Feel free to throw questions my way, happy to help/advise on usage and setup. (edited)
It specifically asks for 1.5v battery. Will a 1.2v rechargeable battery work?
Anyone know if these will work with Tado?
1- you can individually control the radiators which is gr8 but the fact boiler would still be on if you turn the heating on in 1 room or 3 rooms.. is there any real saving?
2- Tuya and Smart Home app requires access to your Internet.. unless you have a private network setup on a separate router , you wifi network would be vulnerable
