This is the older model. Just to be aware.

Most likely clearing old unsold stock.

People that still buy Philips hue stuff 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’ve had hue, govee, lifx and tp link over the years and hue is the only one I have that’s still going strong, so your point is……?

You can get addressable leds for cheaper, however the quality, reliability, ecosystem and aftersales service is what you get with Philips Hue..

There's simply no comparison, and anyone telling you otherwise is simply lying to you and themselves (the usual edge-lord, uber-thrifty, ultra-contrarian HUKD cookie cutter bores!)

    Rant over..

I'm well into Hue eco system and happy to pay the premium for the convenience and service.

Wondering about 2 of these on my desk facing me for video blogging? (edited)

Half a meter of addressable leds in a tube. Should be no more than £30

Plus the enclosure, zigbee, sophisticated app behind it, warranty, packaging and all the other bits that go in to it. It’s not some unknown entity from Aliexpress that will likely fail in 12 months.

Philips Hue quality is fantastic. I now have about 50 bulbs running indoors and outdoors built up over more than 7 years and have never had a bulb fail. I've also bought Govee, Lidl and Chinese alternatives and none are as good as Philips Hue.

Completely agree on the quality and their after care service is faultless. I have one bulb, 9 years old, used every day and it has only just failed. I did have a couple of duff products very recently, a colour GU10 and a light strip with a couple of faulty diodes - Philips replaced both under 2 year warranty within a week - no quibble. Great products.

Just looks like a fancy toilet brush

Is this a joke? I thought it was the gradient version but it’s not even that. You get a single color!!

I love Hue and have lots of their bulbs but some of these plug-in offerings are just insanely priced.

Is this comment a joke? 16 million colours for this lamp!

Is this an old model? Not in the Hie site anymore. Also would it have an eu plug?
    MrPisch's avatar
yes its the none gradient version

I have the large version of these (50% of from EU) and the transformer is in the lamp base so i bought a couple of UK plugs from amazon and replaced the EU plugs

Well, mine arrived, I’m not convinced it wasn’t a return and it’s missing a uk plug!
    Salts's avatar
mines just arrived. Seemed brand new but same with regards to the plug yea, it was only the EU adapter.... this seems to solve that though.....
