I'm always curious about gaming capabilities with deal laptops.

I know this is for business mostly, but would it play games at the PS3/PS4 level?

No chance, you're gonna need RTX 3050 atleast or iris xe at the very minimum for a game like War Thunder

    Is that good?

There are 1080p screen upgrades available for £70 but that does severly hinder the value of the complete package.

After having returned 2 cheap, rubbish laptops to Amazon recently plus how quickly other laptops i’ve owned over the decades begin to run badly, and even given me electric shocks, i’ve concluded laptops are a scam. There’s simply too much going on in such a small space. they overheat badly and that just ultimately begins burning the machine out from the inside after a few hundred hours. Wouldn’t bother with one again. The theory of a laptop is great, but in practise it simply doesn’t work that well. Reckon they’ll be defunct tech within 15 years as the amount of people wanting to buy them goes so low it’s no longer worth producing them. People want iphones, ipads and high end gaming pcs, laptop days numbered. (edited)

"Laptops are a scam and will become obsolete" is certainly not something I had on my bingo card today.

Not sure why the link posts it dollars or how to change it, but it ships from Portsmouth or can be collected at argos.

Not the same. 8 vs 16GB RAM and 128 vs 256GB storage.

Do you really want a non-FHD screen laptop, though?

    1368x766 screen beware.

Anyone know if the ssd can be swapped out easily? 256 seems a little bit on the low side
  16. 118luke's avatar
Shame about the screen size. Too small to be of serious use.
  17. Rimmer101's avatar
This looks great for the price but I need a proper screen. Anybody spot anything comparable?

    This or the t480?

    Same dilemma here.
T480 comes with FHD and only £20 more ebay.co.uk/itm…429

The resolution makes the otherwise great laptop, worthless

Why do these all seem to be £200/300 deals for 5 year old laptops?

How come no-one posts idk 2/3 year old laptops for a bit more? Even if this was excellent then, it's 5 years old?
Just surprised at the traction and how many of these deals we get.
    deleted2904940's avatar
    I posted an 11th gen i5 for £429.
