For anyone buying, do not fit it as shown in the image, its incorrect and can be cut off in seconds.
Instead place the locking pins either side of the wider spoke with volume controls on and they wont be able to cut it off as fast.
Once they cut the steering wheel either side of lock, it will still be attached to the spoke and they'll either have to cut closer from behind which is dangerous or cit through the actual lock which is much longer.
Ive saw demonstrations and when fitted correctly these take around 5 minutes to remove, compared with a disklok that took 3 minutes

Thanks, , for the explanation. For those who are still not sure about how to use the lock correctly, please check this YouTube video. I have received my lock today and was able to use it as explained here.

Great price, we paid just shy of £50 for the Pro a few months back.

For what it[s worth our local police force, West Midlands, always recommend a full disc lock as opposed to these, but they are a lot more expensive plus bulkier and trickier to store. I think anything that acts a deterrent and shifts the thief onto an easier target is worth it.

If this is fitted correctly over a centre spoke, it takes longer to remove than a disklok by someone who knows how,
You can remove a disklok in 3 minutes

Easily picked. But it's about the extra effort the thieves have to go through, in the hope they just think it's not worth it

Cut the steering wheel and it's off in no time too. But like you say, it's a deterrent to hope they move onto something more straight forward.

Used As stated above is the best way.
You will never stop a determined thief, you can slow them down but more importantly you want to make them look elsewhere for an easier target.
I have two cars each with Stoplocks

See them everywhere, you probably just dont look for them so dont realise, next time you go shopping look around and you'll probably see multiple every time, i do but some are different types like halfords that attach the the top centre and sit on the dash (edited)

Thanks OP, bought the Pro Elite. Very well timed as I have a new EV on the way and these devices seem the best way to deter theft these days 😔

I've fitted a fuel pump cut off switch. Like the good old days - I now touch a button hidden within easy reach of the drivers seat. (edited)

From experience, a device like this can slow down and therefore completely thwart a car thief. (edited)

Just realised it shouldn't leave an imprint as it just sits rather then clamps into the steering wheel, unless I'm wrong

Good price from StopLock directly, good find OP.

But, if you're in need of one before you jump, you might want to check your local Aldi.

They have sold these as a special buy twice since Christmas and I have seen them still in a few stores. Might be worth asking staff incase they have moved them out the back.

They were £29.99 for the Pro Elite.

One of my locals reduced them to £14.99 when I got one the first time round. Aldi had them again a few months ago and after a few weeks a different local reduced them to £7.50 so grabbed another one. Again for the Elite version. So it's worth a check, but if not then the OP's if the best deal I've seen after that.

Good price don’t get me wrong however I don’t understand the need for things like this. You have insurance even on the lowest “Fire & Theft” so if someone steals your car make a claim thats what your paying for.
    Amirzeny's avatar
    Amirzeny Author
Trust me you wouldn't want to go through the headache of claiming! Been there and done that. Your insurance will also increase so it makes no sense to just claim. Prevention is better than cure. I use the above lock myself but don't solely rely on just that. I've added a ghost immobiliser 2 for extra security as these can be removed if a theif really wants to grind away at your steering wheel and slide this off. All depends what effort they'd want to go through.
