Going to wait another week before committing to this. Not guaranteed of these price well drop further after the new GPU next week, since I've waited long enough, what's another week 😁😁

Unless those gpus (all with puny 8gb VRam) show performance equal to 3070 @ £300, I don't see the prices of these crashing.

    This or the 6800xt?

I'd suggest if you're buying a card to last 2-3 years go for the 6800 XT (more VRAM and a 30-35% uplift in performance).

If like others (me) your're buying as a stop gap (12-18 months) then the 6700 XT is better value (£150-175 less).

Is there a shorter form factor of this?

Honestly, i picked up a 6800xt and my brother picked up a 6600xt and we have had NOTHING but issues with the drivers. On 2 entirely seperate systems… your mileage vary, but i'm struggling to get on with AMD at the moment
    xanoas's avatar
I've had multiple AMD cards and zero issues.

2 slots, 3 fans, competent 1440p performance for circa £350?

    Nice

I appreciate people are waiting for the new 7600/xt /4060s but they are all coming with 8gb VRam bar 4060 16gb(500$). Unless those are priced really low, I don't see them making a massive dent in the 1440p cards pricing. Still the prices are dropping so something to look forward to.

Probably the best value you can buy today (if you really can't wait).

A card from early 2021 with only 15-20% discount over MRSP. If we consumers start buying these products now, we have lost. Welcome to the low-to-mid tier £350-500 gpu gaming experience forever

I don't get why some people judge a card by its age.
Performance for the price is what matters.

This is a nice price for a capable 1440p card, simple as that.
Isn't too power hungry either, which is always nice. (edited)

Said it the last time it was posted but it’s a great card for money, power draw, temps and overall performance excellent 👌

Perhaps they aren't of the same build quality across the range, but I had an Eagle 3080 12GB and it ran really cool and quiet.
  10. Reggie111's avatar
Yes was playing a bit of Far cry 5 earlier with a 5700x CPU and total power draw was only 300w at the plug. I swapped it for the rtx 3080 and power usage bumped to 450W total draw on 4k. Think the 6700xt is pretty respectable for the power draw.
    vulcanproject's avatar
Yes, because a 3080 pulls down about 100w more but also delivers 45 percent more performance at 4K.

3080 is actually slightly superior on a frame per watt basis, as proven by Techpowerup.

The sapphire pulse 6700xt is £359 if anyone wants the best models for 6700xts.

When this card came out, a lot of the tech review sites gave this card (along with the 6600) terrible reviews.

If you watch more recent reviews of this card, the value has suddenly become apparent (especially after the 4070 poor sales).

Check the Linus Tech Tips review of this card, then look at all the recent comments. Lots of folks praising performance/price in hindsight.
    Dannyboy80's avatar
Very few tech reviewers know anything. It's the clueless leading the blind really.

3060 12GB: YOU'LL NEVER NEED THAT KIND OF VRAM!

Bought it!. building my first PC with this. Did I make the right choice?
    Dannyboy80's avatar
Yes, this is a great card at a good price.

    Enjoy!

Sales are still falling and these gpu honestly are not that great value. The VRAM situation is quite disappointing too.

    These wont hold value.

You're not buying a car or investing in stocks. It's a 350 item. Are you really worrying about whether you get 150 or 180 in 3 years time?

    S_Kelly's avatar
There is only a 5-10% difference between the two.
