Product details

Make light work of chopping wood with this large felling axe from Hawksmoor. The blade has been drop-forged and heat-treated to ensure long-lasting performance. Its polished cutting edge will chop through wood with ease, and can also be resharpened or honed to your preferred angle.

The handle is made from a solid fibreglass core, encapsulated in a polypropylene case to ensure strength and flexibility. The two-handed grip gives you even greater power when chopping wood, while the soft-grip handle protects your hands from too much discomfort during prolonged use.

    Not really much point in a felling axe, just use a chainsaw.

    Not much point in a chainsaw. Just get somebody else to do it.

    I only have one big tree. If that wanted felling, I wouldn't rely on an axe or a chainsaw. I would rely on a professional!

    If I wanted to fell a small one, like an apple tree, I'd go with an axe. Beyond that, I'd hire someone.

    Note that this is a felling axe not a splitting axe. The first line of the description suggests it’s for chopping wood, while it is, it’s not the best tool for splitting logs. Buy a splitting maul if that’s what you’re after

    Any recommendations for cutting a deep root which is visible? Was going to try the axe initially not sure what the best tool for the job is though
