Perfect ide for someone who just needs a sim card or for an elderly relative to keep as an emergency etc, but otherwise doesn't need a mobile phone.

I asked o2 about a classic sim for an elderly relative, for this exact thing, they told me they don't do that anymore, only a big bundle "on a contract, without a contract" i was told...no classic sims are sold anymore.

So these are ideal to get whilst you still can.

Just ensure you meet the minimum call criteria to keep the number and account active
I believe it is one phone call and top up every 6 months or so.

Setup your O2 Pay & Go rewards here also if you wish. (get 10% back every three months

... or just get them sent to you for free from O2 directly.

While the 321 tariff is no longer officially available from 02 themselves. I can assure people that the sims will work fine. Just register an account online first NOT on the app. Then you'll get the £5 bonus credit added. That's my current balance on my 321 02 sim. Topped up £10 and they added the £5 bonus credit.

The o2 classic (1-2-3) deal offer ended a long time ago, I assume as these are still being sold that topping these up will let you use the 1-2-3 tariff, otherwise you might be paying these insane prices: o2.co.uk/ter…tes

O2 stopped supplying them directly years ago but these are O2 sims, O2 branded on the O2 Classic tariff and still available through resellers. Top up once (£10 minimum) and it is an excellent way to get Priority. If I recall, if you register for MyO2 you get £5 added after a few days too (unless that has now ended) and register for Rewards to get 5%|10% after a month or so to add as credit.

Contrary to the OP, you just need to make one call every 6 months to keep the sim active, no further top up required until you run out of credit. In theory you could send 1 text to keep it active but from experience the sim still switched off after 6 months so a 3p call keeps if active (easily reactivated through customer services if you do forget). I have one of these sims still in my alarm system, and it still uses the 321 tarriff

Cannot put 2 sims will only allow 1 sim

( You are currently winning or have bought the maximum number of items allowed from this sellers in the last 10 days )

I have not bought any sims for quite awhile now.

You make one order & it comprises of two SIMs for £0.20.

can't add 2 as it says 1 every 10 days?
    Skol's avatar
Ignore me. It is for 2 and 80% off in checkout.

    Ordered. Thanks OP.

    Didn't think O2 did classic 123 anymore?

Can anyone confirm that this will honour the 321 tariff? Get it for the kids would be ideal

I purchased at 99p and still works as 321

Would this give you access to O2 deals?
    manicmidlander's avatar
They did when I got some similar ones about 18 months ago. I topped up and then ensured I met the chargeable event every so many months criteria.

So when the SIM arrives do I put it in the phone and then top it up somehow? Or do I first register the account and then top-up with £10?
    Mooney70's avatar
Register an account you'll get chance to top it up then. After a short time your £5 bonus credit will be added. The important thing is that you register a new account if you want the free credit adding. (edited)

In order to get bonus £5 do I just need to register only or top up £10 too?
    Mooney70's avatar
You'll need to top up on their website NOT the app. Register an account first before you top up. As you only get the £5 bonus if you register an account. It should be added shortly after. It's the best £10 I've spent which was around 2 years ago! (edited)

Would these need topping up to activate meaning for a number transfer?
  12. playdumb's avatar
Yes, it's one SIM card. Got a message from seller after I ordered.
    Neostar's avatar
Same but I only needed one anyway
  13. TristanDeCoonha's avatar
At last I can use this airtime rewards credit. Been building it up as Lebara won't take it. Might have another 99p 6 month pop up to come back to
    dazaman89's avatar
Wondering how that would work as you're essentially topping up via this sim card and presumably o2 don't have a mechanism to credit an account like they do with a contract sim.

I may have misunderstood what you mean.
  14. trott3r's avatar
Can you top up at a local shop?
    MITZZZ999's avatar
Yes. You can still get top up vouchers in local stores... All my local ones do top ups anyway.

Ordered 2 simply, just as backup and number transfer. Thank you
    AMJensen's avatar
What do you mean you've bought for "number transfer"?
  17. Teza511's avatar
Can anyone recommend a cheap sim or basically free & that I won’t need to top up so that I can port my number to it temporarily ?

my contact with Vodafone cone to an end & they are offering me such a crap deal as an existing customer. Yet I can add more sims to my account way cheaper than what they offered me
    TristanDeCoonha's avatar
    Vodaphone direct, or via Lebara?
  18. Neostar's avatar
I assume you can't port another mobile number to these
  19. GimmeMoreCoffee's avatar
Do you need to add credit to activate them (ie just to receive text messages, but not make any calls etc?)
  20. stec77's avatar
Shows as £0.99p but won’t add to basket! Maybe no longer available!?
  21. janner43's avatar
Still valid - to see the price enter your basket
    50244446-R6irm.jpg
  22. stec77's avatar
    Oops, there was a problem

An item you selected wasn't added to your basket because the seller won't sell to buyers that don't meet their requirements.

This ^^^ is what I get!?
    rrr99gp's avatar
Probably have bad feedback or you have too many unpaid item strikes.
  23. stec77's avatar
Also it appeared to be OOS now! As I’ve just tried to buy again!
    AMJensen's avatar
I don't think you can buy more than once within 10 days
  24. maruchipan's avatar
Looks like the seller has revised the listing - you get 1 sim card now, and if you try to purchase more than 1 per household/account all your orders will be cancelled.
    Neostar's avatar
    Well that sucks 😞
  25. PabloEsco's avatar
Has anyone received their sim? Ordered 25th May and still waiting..
    BazUK's avatar
    Yes, received after 2 days
  26. Mooney70's avatar
These sims are ideally for light users or just to access 02 priority for the freebies and advance tickets.
