I bought the 12000 BTU ProLec 2 years ago, it stopped cooling just after the 12 month mark (edited)

I'm sure if this unit is maintained correctly, it should last a few years. I only ordered this for my bedroom to get a decent night's sleep after experiencing last year's heatwave and for less than £250 you can't go wrong in my opinion. Yes we can spend over 50%> for a brand name but if they are not maintained then they will also go kaput...

I agree, I have had a pro elec air con unit for years and it still works perfectly.

We just got one of these, it arrived yesterday.

Ran it for an hour and got the water full message. Drained it fully (only had about 1 litre in it) and still getting the error (which cuts the machine off). Left it off for 24 hours, no water in the tank, still getting the error. Got a whole hour of cooling before it stopped working :/

Emailed them about replacing it or getting a refund, load of b*llocks. (edited)

For the experts, this vs the £269.99 one posted earlier? Price aside

Energy companies absolutely raking it in all year round. We have to have our gas powered boiler running all winter now we need our electricity powered ac running all summer. Watch those bills folks.

Thanks for posting this , we've been looking to get one ready for this summer, came close to getting a second hand one from Amazon warehouse, but for £50 the warranty and extra power tempted my arm. 2 in-stock too, they had 45 about 2 hours ago 👀.

    Yet another cheap, landfill brand!

Stick with the more efficient AEG A+ and Delonghi A++models to save money over many summers that they will actually last! (edited)

Or get a proper installed system that doesn't cost a fortune to run.

Those can cool but that is the most inefficient AC design ever... You are literally forcing warm air from outside back into the room!

What do you mean? There’s a hose that comes with it - that dissipates heat out the window.
