This is a deal for now but if the US is now selling these for $199 then you can expect a similar price in a couple of months.

For those that want the math $199 roughly works out to £161 add VAT at 20% comes to £194 rounding up.

The deal/sale price here is exactly the predicted price after the far-east announced sales of the equivalent amount which was back in March this year. (edited)

Do NOT buy unless you know exactly what you are getting in to. For most people the 'third' company alternative for gaming graphics is a really really bad joke. Do not be fooled by some seemingly positive coverage by tech influencers. Even yesterday, with new comparison reviews for AMD's 7600 and Nvidia's 4060TI, there were new games that failed to run at all on Intel GPUs.

A computer component that isn't reliable just isn't worth bothering with at any price. This is a lesson every PC user learns across the years.

Have you tried the card yourself? If not that means you relay on someone else reviews which is exactly the same as relaying on so called tech influencers positive coverage.

I'm intrigued what these would be like for high end emulation, especially at higher resolutions.

    A Ryzen 5 5600g can do switch and PS3 and that's a £110 CPU/GPU combo

Any good for 3d render with blender over a 1070?

Cold -- this is not a deal, it's literally above Intel's own current MSRP for the rest of the word ($199). At least wait for the price to fall in line with the rest of the world before buying this GPU, even if you have no consideration for AMD or Nvidia equivalents.

$ to £ has been like that for a while now for PC parts ($ amount converted to £, add 20% VAT, then add another 10-20% for no good reason at all).

If it's the cheapest you can get it in the UK, then it's a deal.
    That's just how it is.
