I bought the Fyra 12 kit for £286. Since lockdown, wife and I have been making our own pizzas at home and have been meaning to invest in a pizza oven so this seemed like the perfect opportunity. Definitely going to get some good use this summer

Payback? Don't think of it as a payback.. it's a good piece of kit, great fun and makes lovely pizza and skillet food in the garden. Do you look for a Payback on BBQs?

from a complete beginner here, can I just buy the pizza dough ready made and add toppings or is there a bit more to it than that.

You can 100% buy the dough. The Jus-Rol pizza dough is pretty good! I also use a jar of pasta sauce (premium one) instead of pizza sauce because I prefer the taste and it goes a bit further.

Any advice on pellet vs gas?

I've had a pellet one for years and it's much like the BBQ debate of charcoal Vs gas. Pellets is the more authentic man-make-fire way and has a lot of trial and error and smoke. I've never used a gas ooni but I imagine it's a lot easier to manage/less stressful.
