I don't like these BBQ's, or at least my one - you can't vary the height of the grill in relation to the coals.

As per the comments above - learn that coals don’t go all the way across the width of the bbq; have an area on one side (1/4 or 1/3) with no coals and it will act more like a warming plate rather than cooking area. It’s all too easy to spread coals all the way across and not think about what to do with the food that cooks quicker than others (besides eating it immediately!). Plus, when you cook too much food because that’s what we do when we bbq, you have an area to keep the food warm without cooking it any more. It takes practise to perfect but that’s just a great excuse to have lots of bbqs!!

I have one of these, a bit different.
It lasted a few years, I didn't look after it and it rusted.
I am replacing it now as the bottom is rotten, my bad, the whole winter filled with hashes kept moisture and ruined it.

If you are not too fussy about, look after it and it will do what you need.

Improvements suggested, add a thermometer and a steel mesh to put charcoal on top, as the grid provided leaves a gap between the barrel and the grid, and a lot of charcoal was falling at the bottom through this gap.

Nice and llooks exactly like the argos one which is £52 but that one does include a cover and utensils (edited)

Thank you. Ordered . Missed the Argos offer of £50. Which came with a cover, thermostat, & utensils.

That offer is still on. But I am cancelling in favour of this

Had this bbq for a couple of years now with no issues. I leave it outside with a cover on, but lately forgot to cover it. Wonder if it’ll survive

I saw a similar "oil drum" style BBQ from Tesco reduced to £25 - I forgot to take a picture & post the deal! (reduced from £50)
