sorted byI have two Autistic kids, aged 9, and 8.
They both struggle with sudden, loud noises, and my son in particular is struggling even with ear defenders at school.
Would these be suitable for them to use in ANC mode?
If not, please recommend something that will help with loud noises.

ANC will definitely make a difference with persistent noises (for example, it’ll pretty much make an airplane engine silent during a flight, and it can silence traffic).
With noises that fluctuate- for example, speech or loud music, it’ll lessen their impact far more than just standard headphones but not cancel it completely.
Hope that helps! It’s worth trying some in store to get an idea of what they can do. I purchased these specifically for the ANC as they are one of the best out there.

Beans Means Bose!
I am processing 4K video on my home PC and the fans are running hard on the Graphics Card but when I enable "Quiet" mode with no music playing I cannot hear it.
Everytime you switch the headphones on, they tell you the battery level and what device they are connected to!
They are really light in comparison to my M3s and I tell you, I'm warming to them!

They are smaller than my Momentum 3's, and fold up real small with a lovely soft case which is a better option IMHO than the M3 hard case.
Charged them up and then paired them with my phone. The Quiet mode with Noise cancelling on is amazing, much better than M3s. Aware mode seems fine, press of a button switches between the two.
I called the wife from my phone and she said I sounded fine so defo thumbs up for the mics.
Then onto my favourites playlist on phone and everything sounded great, not just as much bass as the M3s but really nice neutral sound.
For £150 (I called up AMEX to ask why I didnt get the £15 reward, so I'll see it on my next statement. Also some TCB £5.55 tracking) these Bose headphones are perfect for the wife ;-)
