Bose QuietComfort 25 (black) noise cancelling headphones @ Argos £139.95

Seeing as Amazon have sold out of Bose QC 25, the same price at Argos with good availability seems like a good deal for me.

Got my from Bose for £129, can’t really fail them.

I expect Amazon Germany will be selling them for less when they do come back into stock. The are normally 10% less than UK from what I've seen. So not a discount that is worth waiting for considering I want to start using them pronto. QC35 mk2 going for £212 however is tempting. Wish the Sony's could be bought for something similar.

Enchanted? Crikey

These have been as low as £105 at Hughes and £109 via Amazon Germany. Wait for them to drop.

I got a pair of these and a bl25 bluetooth add-on. Amazing noise cancelling when on a plane and completely blocks out my wife's voice when I'm at home. Gets my vote

Looks like a good price regardless of issues

I got these when they first came out, they drop connection from time to time and when one ear disconnects the only way to get it back on us is by putting them in the case and then taking them out again.

Neither. The Bose are gradually coming down in price as a new patent was filed for some sort of infared yoke being featured on a new version of the Soundsport Free. The Jabra's I own the non-sports version and maybe it's my lugholes, but you can't wear the things for long as your yoke gets sore. Personally I went for the Jaybird Tarah Pro's, which I received this week. Ran in them last night as it happens and they were excellent. Super comfortable and never hurt at all after an 11km run. For everything else I use Sony WH1000-XM3's. EDIT: Found the link for you about the recently filed Bose patent, possibly for the Soundsport Free 2:

I have another Bose bluetooth headphones before which has the same issue. Never have any other bluetooth headphones which I tried for long term. One reason was that those Bose bluetooth headphones are so comfortable. When I try others, they do not pass my comfortability test, and I end up did not buy any other.

Thanks, ordered using monzo, £220 delivered. Sending back my mx3 in favour of these.

Hey no worries I am only going what I found online I got mine yesterday so will try it out

Nah. Far too fiddly to put in as you've got to pinch the bud then push in your ear quickly to get the good seal before foam expands. Then the seal is so good you can't hear if someone wants to talk to you quickly, you pull out buds which have created a little vaccum in your ear canal (Ouch), talk then have to repeat the above. Much prefer wireless with button that allows talk through or surrounding awarness without ever having to remove bud. Bose tips are comfy as they don't push down and into your ear canal.

Comply foam tips.

No highs, no lows, must be Bose. Samsung ones likely sound better.

Yes they are,,, the only difference is the wire free option

Why is that? Aren't they pretty much the same?

Almost bought these some years back... ended up with a pair of special edition triple back over the ear versions instead which are great but I only use them on flights as they're big on me and get rather warm... i'm a buds fan really. Anybody tried both buds and over the ear versions and can testify to the ANC differences?

I have a pair. Sound great when ANC is turned on, but absolutely awful when turned off.

Another tip for android users, if you're one of the unlucky owners of phones without a headphone socket - I've read that if you get a usb-c to 3.5mm converter meant for iPhones, this then makes this headset work with full functionality.

Glad to be of assistance (nerd)

I've had these headphones for 3 years and run 3 times a week. They are great for running (never fall out), sound quality is very good and battery life is 10 hrs. The only downside is that they are quite bulky so do stick out from your ears quite a bit. Depends what is more important to you, quality or appearance.

Very good headphones, especially if you connect to multiple devices. I bought a pair from CEX £78 (look new, boxed and 2 year warranty).

Thanks for the Android heads up. So if I don't have a headphone jack do I use a dongle and some decent wired head phones. Or just go blue tooth?

I trialled these after reading rave reviews .. really poor fit for me personally despite diff size buds..leading to a wishy washy sound. Also it sucks not having full controls if your using android phone. Based on average reviews the price is good

The SoundTrue Ultras go on sale around the £50-£60 from time to time. The audio quality and isolation is better than the SoundSport. Worth the wait imo. However at this price, there's very little alternatives with a similar package. These are great for playing on the Switch where theres no bluetooth functionality.

Au contraire. The problem is that if you are a runner (I am) then wired headphones are awful for pulling out of your ear. I’m looking at the wireless version of these @ £114. What HiFi rated them best wireless “sports” headphones. This is not an audiophile product - the clue is in the name “sound sport”.

Not sure if this is any use to people reading this, but I was recently looking at Pioneer Rayz on Amazon, which I’ve heard good things about, and they’re a bit cheaper, but the lightning connector is a concern. Talk that future iPhones might be USB-C.

I would never buy headphones without user replaceable cables, I paid a lot for shure ones and they were junk when the cable went. If you look at some of the reviews, this has also happened to these ones.

Pulled the trigger - I have prime and selected next day so hopefully I can get that refunded.

That's the rationality I communicated in my email to customer support and received the response shown above. It's hard to say if they'll facilitate a refund again or if this was a one off exception against my account and won't be granted again.

I think the point is if you are UK prime member and they delivered from a UK warehouse (which for 90% of UK orders of this item they have done), it is reasonable to ask for a free delivery we are entitled under prime.

I paid for the middle option. €5.50 2 day service IIRC. They've refunded me (y)

Lost in translation. But yeah it's amusing, if you got them rapid delivery that's what's the real issue. But anyways enjoy

Probably a dud set. Had mine for over 3 years. Accidentally bought them for £35 in a Bose clearance - loved them to bits hence moved onto the QC2 heaphones. Plus the warranty would've covered it as they come with 2 years warranty :)

I had these earphones and would not recommend them at all. Had them for just over a year when one side stopped working. I think the wire quality is the problem not at all durable. Contacted Bose and was told I could purchase another pair if I so desired. I would never buy Bose again.

My Black / Charcoal Android ones just arrived in the post ( I only ordered them on Sunday night!), and it does state on the box that its the Android variant.....but on the information leaflet inside, it says that it is optimized for Samsung Galaxy devices and 'select' Android devices. You can check a list 'from your device user's guide' to check for full compatibility. I'll try it with my Moto G4+ and Huawei tablet. Yep, works fine with both - volume and skip track/s. Haven't tried a phone call yet, but assume that's fine too.

Apparently, If you're new to QVC you can get £5 off your first order with the code: FIVE4U - which cancels out the £4.95 P&P. So I've just ordered the Android Charcoal Black ones for £44.83... I think. The discount seems valid according to the T&Cs and applies successfully, but is then added again on the order confirmation page. My order is still processing though. Have contacted QVC customer services and will let you know if it goes through as it should for £44.83 and not £49.83... (ninja) Edit: email confirmation, £44.83 8)

Yes, correct, so much for QVC! :)
