Obviously this v1 has also GPS. The difference is that v2 has multi-band GPS so perhaps better GPS positioning. This is good price though. (edited)

If you live in the Birmingham area you can pick this up from the Evans outlet store in the city centre for around £144.

This version does have GPS or I have been directed on bike rides for the last few years by the device using the Force. (edited)

Can't you just use Google Maps on your phone instead, for free?

You can! And you can also buy a little rowing boat to take you to Ibiza for a week as it'll do the same as a plane 👌🏻

I cannot seriously believe the comments that say this hasn't got GPS... that is literally the point of the device!

This is a good deal for a V1. There are improvements in V2 but to me they are not "pay double" level of improvements, they are more marginal stuff that bring an already pretty good device up to date. Multi band GPS is one - basically means it will lock quicker and to a higher level of accuracy. There are also improvements in screen and software, but nothing that's a game changer over this.

I have the V1 and picked it up after a gravel bike packing trip to Morocco where I was using an almost new Garmin 530 and my son was using a wahoo. The Garmin was next to useless at picking up the routes compared to the wahoo. I sold my Garmin and picked one of these up as soon as I got home. The wahoo is as close to a car sat nav that you can currently get on a bike. It re routes like your car sat nav. The Garmin annoyingly just wants you to turn around and pick up the route where you went wrong. Fine if you want to religiously stick to your work out but pants if you just change your mind en route or want to take a diversion etc. (edited)

I bought one of these brand new on eBay a few months ago for £135 to replace my old garmin edge 520 as the battery was only lasting about 2 hours. This is a superb device. The battery lasts for ages. As others have said I don't think the v2 is worth double the price. The only feature it has which I would like is Summit Freeride which I don't think is currently available on the v1. I suspect it's a software feature so perhaps it will get added in a later release?
