"Transfer speed"- what an utterly DISHONEST form of marketing speak. Personally I think such language breaches trading standards laws in the UK, since it is designed to imply WRITE speeds, when in reality it is purposely hiding the fact that write speeds on these cards are a tiny fraction of read speeds.

'Transfer' implies either direction. But then this is the same Samsung that sold faulty 970/980 flash devices for years (all of which corrupted data) and paid tech influencers to give the devices glowing reviews.

In reality, these should be better than the rock bottom 128GB for a fiver deals that have been appearing here recently, but even so the upfront metric should be write speed- the one area you really get what you pay for (or should do) with card based flash.

I agree with some of what you said, this is one of the best/balanced articles that debunks most of it - mostly very informative & positive, but the word idiotic is used at times out of sheer frustration! shuttermuse.com/und…ls/ (edited)

Read / Write is great on these. This is using a cheapo card reader, they may do better with something decent

Have a few for my 360 camera, the Insta360 can be fussy but works well with these.

I don’t suppose you’re using the x3 are you? I’ve just ordered the recommended spec cards but they were almost twice the price of this, so if these suffice then that would be great news!

Very good deal. Paid £15 for 128GB used. It made an old pc run 50% faster. It also reduced boot time considerably.

    "PS VITA".

Wow, that takes me back a wee bit, as I recall when it's original predecessor was originally out. :-D

I didn't even realise that it was possible for it to take such a LARGE capacity memory card like to begin with.

Considering the timeline that has passed, since either of them were first released, and all ...

I'm guessing that 256GB is probaby it's maxed out maximum memory card capacity allocation thing then, right?

    Thanx.

I bought this only yesterday. Amazon customer services refuse to do a refund on the difference and request I return it.

So I will return it. What a faff.

Edit: so i complained a bit and they've now done a refund for the difference. Thumbs up! (edited)

Yeah, they got rid of the 14 day refund the difference policy a few years back, but if you're lucky you can get a CS person that will give in with a few little shoves and refund the difference.

A strange this is, when they do give in, they'll refund you the money but do it on a different item you ordered a long time ago, I think this way it can help them hide the fact they gave in as they are not supposed to, lol. (edited)
