Certainly not the fasted NVMe drive you can buy, but this seems like great value for some extra storage.

500GB is also available for £23.99!

Price for the 1TB seems to be matched on Amazon, but they are offering slower delivery.

Built for the long run
Keep your files safe with an SSD that's in it for the long haul. With up to 600 TBW and a 5-year limited warranty, the 980's optimized endurance comes with proven reliability thanks to Samsung's in-house solutions, from the state-of-the-art controller to V-NAND and the latest firmware.

*TBW : Terabytes written
* Warrantied TBW for 980: 150 TBW for 250GB model, 300 TBW for 500GB model, 600 TBW for 1TB model.
* 5 years or TBW, whichever comes first. For more information on the warranty, please find the enclosed warranty statement in the package.

Reliable thermal control
High-performance SSDs usually require high-performance thermal control. To ensure stable performance, the 980 uses nickel coating to help manage the controller's heat level and a heat spreader label to deliver effective thermal control of the NAND chip.

This can be used to replace the original SSD for a laptop right? Got an Ideapad 3 with 256gb and would love some more space for games. Thanks

This is actually cheaper than an SD card of similar storage. I might be better off with this than an sd card for my raspberry pi.

Bought the 500gb last week as a nice little extra. System files on this slower drive and games on 1tb WD drive.

I was looking at people saying ahh you need an NVMe SSD to run Ratchet and Clank well on PC and thinking yes but they're like £40 and you have something more than fast enough lol

That is a problem with HUKDs. There are a lot of people on here with endless amounts of cash that think you need the latest £1000 graphics card & fastest SSDs to play noughts and crosses. (edited)

I have this drive in my PC, paid £100 just over 2 years ago. Good deal! This drive is lightning fast, pc boots to desktop in less than 20 seconds and ready to use. (edited)
