This offer is back again. Thanks to MSE code TED37MSE, there are varieties of Ted Baker prescription specs or sunglasses discounted from £135 to £37 and includes delivery

Enter the code on the 'Shopping cart - summary' page in the vouchers box, and you need to use it before 11.59pm on Wednesday 21 June to get the discount. The code is only valid on selected Ted Baker items found via this LINK

Standard lenses are included in the price of the frames, but bifocal or thin lenses cost extra.

4142906_1.jpg
  • To get them cheapest, pick 'continue with free lenses' when asked to choose your lens package (stage four of the checkout process), as thinner or scratch-resistant lenses will cost £10-£126 extra. To avoid other extras and keep costs down, click 'skip step & continue' until you reach the checkout.
  • You can either enter your prescription during the checkout process, or opt to send it later. Some frames aren't suitable for high prescriptions, so keep an eye out when choosing. Do note that only standard lenses are included in the price, you'll pay extra for bifocal or thin lenses.
  • Select 'Royal Mail Standard' delivery – our code will make this delivery option free (normally £6.99).

More Information:

  • You can use the code more than once but can only use one code per item, per transaction – so you'll need to make multiple transactions if you want more than one.
  • The code gets you free delivery (normally £6.99) and takes 7-20 working days. Standard lenses are included in the price of the frames, but bifocal or thin lenses cost extra.
  • SpeckyFourEyes says there are good stock levels available, but all frames are subject to availability, so they could still sell out fast if demand is high.

Could really do with a new pair of sunglasses but I like polarised and that is a £50 extra!

Has anybody tried these transition lenses? Just wondering if it’s worth it?
instead of having one set for outdoors and another indoors.

    coating any good?

Used to have reactolites years ago. Going back about 15 years, they never really went all that dark and weren’t ‘ clear’ when not in the sun. Quite expensive for what they are imo. I prefer 2 pairs.

FYI if you go for the basic free lenses, they send you an email for a cheap upgrade to the speccy 2 package for 15.99. Which is worth it imo

Is it only the 2 or so they offer any of the others discounted too? I’m blind enough the 3 would make sense but it’s for a 3rd pair so less fussed.

    Hi!

To clear a few things up (based on previous FAQs):

    Processing times

We aim to process promotional orders within 30 working days (please note; Bank Holidays and Weekends are not working days)

    Where we are

We are based in West Yorkshire; right here in the UK. Our labs are also in West Yorkshire (again, in the UK)

Okay, so I’ve seen the processing times and I agreed to them when I placed the order but I still want my glasses quicker

Just call us on 03448 20 20 20 to discuss our Fast Track Service with us.

    We hope this information helps.

    Kind regards,

    Your Specky Team (edited)

How do people find out what they're prescription is? Ringing up specsavers they don't want to give out that information
    skhbilgrami's avatar

I usually get mine when I go for an eye test. If you've misplaced yours, pay them a visit and ask for your (in date) prescription. They might charge you a fiver.

It goes from personalising lens to pre lab checks to in lab to dispatched. All that took about 24 days

Nice spot. Ordered some, didn’t bother for any of the coating as they don’t seem great value with the coating. £37 is cheap enough. I’m going to order a pair of prescription sunnies aswell.

👆 They will take a day or two to respond with your PD number. I'd suggest you try both Specsavers and above website to ensure correct reading. I found a difference of 0.5 in two. (edited)

    Edit 30/06/23

Mine was a couple of years old and lost any evidence of it but knew details as noted on phone. They asked me for an image of it just after ordering via a link so just explained I didn’t receive a written one and included image of their email query. It has proceeded to next stage ok after that. Does anyone know who’s ordered if they do it for astigmatism and do you do that bit like at spec savers where they measure where your pupil distance from each other? I’m due new glasses / test so I’m tempted to get tested and order online to save £100ish

Only 15% (darkest) tint avaliable, I find those to be too dark, leading to my eyes straining even more than if I don't wear them.

Do they send through offers on polarisation and the other lenses packages if I don't take them now?

Are any of the lenses packages worth it anti scratch etc?
    skhbilgrami's avatar
    skhbilgrami
    No polarisation offers.
Packages are worth the money but if you're on a tight budget, consider goggles4u. Their packages (with discount codes) are even cheaper.

Ordered June 1st, arrived today July 6th. I went with the lens upgrade specky 2 and the lens have a pink colour tint to it. For anyone who works in the photography/cinematography, it might be something to keep in mind.

Worst company ever. Took 30 days to deliver then only half the order arrived.
There is no customer service, just a receptionist who will "pass the message on".
    Just done a chargeback.
