Oh another hotel with dog hairs everywhere from owners who let their dog on the bed. Good to know to avoid.

The last time i slept in Birmingham was in the 80s and i ended up in the coach station all night cos i was only left with about 4 quid, a coach ticket back to London and about 6 B&H after going clubbing.

I'm guessing that this may be a bit better than that lol

This hotel is actually on the right side of town for Villa Park. It's only about 2 miles away in a taxi.

Villa are disabled friendly but I would phone and speak to them first before travelling as disabled spaces are very limited. In fact tickets for all games are limited and more or less sell out every game.

Do you know if you'd get Marriott points for this, being third party?

The snidey comments about Birmingham are laughable. The city centre is incredible. I wonder how many have actually been in the last 10 years

agreed, it's had a huge turn around, granted you can't just lift and shift all vagrants in a 10 year period but the slow growth of gentrification changes areas.

I've been convincing my wife to move from London to Birmingham for a while now but the whole "must be near to parents" thing sticks.

    One day!

paid around £80 for 2 nights+wine+late checkout near xmas a couple years back so not amazing price

No parking so that another £20 or so

Did have a free pool table and wine/rooms were nice.

It's cheaper than what you paid two years ago and something called inflation has increased prices considerably since then so I'd say it's a good price.

I'm staying in this hotel for business in June and the rate was approx £90 for one night b and b so again on that basis this seems like a good rate if there is a reasonable amount of availability.
