Paid this money for a 3060 half a year ago. So this is a good deal.

The RX 6700 XT scales better up to higher resolutions than the RTX 4060 Ti, making it a solid option for 1440p gaming. In addition, the rising VRAM demands in modern games means it's much better equipped to handle new releases, while the RTX 4060 Ti seems destined to be limited by its 8GB of memory

    This versus 6700 XT?

have look at the graphs. They are mostly on par but the extra 4gb VRam fares better for 6700xt in the long run. (edited)

isnt this an actually ok price?

also views on upgrading from a 3060? not worth it right?

No, definitely not worth the upgrade unless the new Nvidia features will really change your life. In pure performance terms you gain very little.

I agree the price is good in comparison to anything with an Nvidia badge since pre-covid times, but I think at this point they’re more likely to continue to drop than go up. The 8GB really does feel a decision made on the back of being extraordinarily tightfisted on Nvidia’s part.

Don’t do it the only way Nvidia will stop taking the Michael is if the consumer stops buying …. I’ll not be upgrading my 2070S until Nvidia learns that and if they don’t then it looks like I’ll be stuck with it for a long time.

Remembering the good old days when you could buy a great card with excellent performance for a good price….. 970 I remember you fondly …

6700 straight is unsung hero IMO cracking card considering the power you save to an XT and the performance isnt far off really.

Protest and avoid Nvidia proper now. (edited)

Good point, I've seen the 6700 rated for 175W versus 230W for the XT, that's pretty frugal!

Crap card, this is what the official price should have been at a strech, this is no deal. If your foolish enough to buy this trash just make sure you got a system with Pcie 4.0 otherwise you'll get even less performance.

How are Team Red feeling about their treatment by developers recently? I’ve got a 5700XT, but I’ve not been playing many recent things, but I got incredibly annoyed with Respawn after they simply didn’t bother to fix a hard-crash bug on AMD for literally months, when a very similar error on Nvidia was fixed within days. Crap, but proportional market share sort of gives an excuse. With them being a much more interesting proposition now are people finding they’re getting fixed etc. faster?

I'm not sure if that's very common across the board with all new titles. What driver version are you on?
