I struggle to see the value of this vs a self-levelling laser tool. You're relying on being able to mount it somewhere perfectly level in order to project a level line. With a self-leveller you just have to get it "within reason" and it does the rest for you. No checking the bubbles to ensure level, less room for human error. If price is the driver, you can pick up some well reviewed options from Amazon for the price of this, or less.

Handy if you want straight. But not level lines. For instance if your putting up a stair hand rail

Not sure the price is that great…was £25.99 recently with B&Q. As ever with Amazon, the full price before discount is inflated.
