According to the camels this is the lowest Amazon have sold it for. It's sold by Amazon EU S.a.r.l which should mean it does qualify for the Samsung cashback, just make sure you select the correct Amazon seller.

Not bad, but you may also want to consider the 4TB 870 EVO which has DRAM for just £9 more. Its currently £221 from Amazon, with £75 Samsung cashback making it £146:-

The price could even potentially drop further between now and the promotions end date. Just remember to make sure that its sold by "Amazon" (UK) and not "Amazon EU" on the product page. Both will state "Sold by Amazon EU S.a.r.l" at checkout, but only Amazon UK is eligible for the cashback. (edited)

    rad.
Both have dram but the QVO is QLC whereas EVO is TLC and has an extra 960 TBW. Definitely worth paying £9 more after cashback. (edited)

How do you know cashback is £75? it only ever says up to.

It's £50 cashback on this one, model number MZ-77Q4T0. If you click on the Amazon link that web page has a URL to Samsung's promotion for this. From there you get to this page which lists the qualifying products and the cashback amounts:

Thanks for the heads-up. Amazon's pricing algorithm increased the price to £207 this morning but since it's back down I'll unexpire it if I can.

Would the DRAM be helpful in a NAS that has only 512MB RAM onboard?

    Synology DS220J btw* (edited)

DRAM helps the SSD maintain speed and reduce wear. Nothing to do with system RAM.

The price has increased again to just over £206 so I'll expire it again. Maybe it'll drop in price once more
