Definitely save yourself the headache and get a used HP OEM charger from Cambridge-accessories or something, the unofficial ones are prone to failure and likely have no proper certifications and protections.

Here you go, an OEM charger (ACBel are an OEM brand for HP units like Delta):

250 G7 will also run on a 45W blue tip charger. (edited)

They have lots of gems but usually one-off items so I don’t typically post. I suspect it had a battery which they removed as it failed testing or swollen, that’s what they told me in the past. The hardware for £64 is still decent - though no battery, OS or charger means your real cost is likely nearer £100. I find their desktops better than their laptops - £35 can get you a Skylake i5 SFF which is still a great little system even today.

Because those problems can't be solved...?

For ~£80 all in, this is a bargain. It may also have a licence key embedded to the hardware - so it may just be a matter of installing Windows 11 or whatever its specs allow it to take.

With that said, it's always good to have people that need everything on a plate. Leaves the bargains for others (edited)

Scrap value only. Read the description. It's a wreck.

I have this as my work laptop. Screen is poor resolution, colour and contrast. The viewing angle is also dire. It's pretty large and heavy and yet battery life is very average. I'd struggle to get through even most of the day just doing basic web tasks

Agree with this, I also have this laptop, it's poor, I've switched to a ThinkPad, it's a different league and you can pick them up cheap as ex business machines from eBay. After two HP laptops I'll never buy one again.

Voted hot. Probably is worth paying £12 extra for battery.

Yes it is, as long as not worn. Add another £10-15 for a charger too.

I won this laptop on ebay auction its better then I thought , stripped it clean fully cleaned and replaced thermal paste put a battery and nvme in its working very well , no issues with contrast for me looks like a ips perhaps its had a screen change or something.

HP never supplied it with an IPS display so it might have been replaced separately. It’s probably a fairly decent workhorse system but you would have had to spend a lot of money to add all that stuff to it. What were your costs?
