The fan on these...mandatory TPFan needed for this and so many of Lenovo laptops

even so, with tpfancontrol it still ramps up and down constantly, or when it finally drops to a low CPU load tpfancontrol keeps the fan at a minimum of 3 on smart setting, so you have to toggle to bios and back to smart to get the fans to spin on 1 (lowest setting with the fan still on)

You’ve been on HUKD since 2019, surely you know by now “at a cracking price” is not the way to title a deal?

Seems expensive for one of these today. I get that it’s new and business-grade with long warranty but it still seems like a premium to pay when we’re in 13th Gen and 12th Gen onwards was a huge performance gain.

For most businesses everything that works smoothly on an 8th gen Intel cpu will work the same way on a 13th gen. Different courses for different horses.

Depends what price you're trying to get for them doesn't it?

Had one of these for work. It had a big problem with the 5GHz band on my router. Ended up having to split my wifi and getting it to only connect to the 2.4GHz band

Could have been a simple driver issue but as a work machine it was locked down tighter than a gnat’s chuff so I had to improvise

I am really curious about recent ThinkPads like this one:

Won't the right side vent keep heating your right hand when you use a mouse?
