HIs "AmDip" bs was debunked in enthusiast circles years ago as being the result of his own inept OCing where he most likely messed up the fabric and memory sync or used bad memory timings.

"Any room for optimism? It’s easy to be pessimistic about the state of the UK economy. The rise in interest rates and the prospect of falling house prices are definitely very real problems affecting the economy right now. If we try to end on a more optimistic note, inflation is still set to fall towards the end of the year, helped by falling petrol and energy prices. The effect of previous interest rate rises have not been fully felt and once they do start to reduce spending, the fall in inflation could be accelerated. This will hopefully reduce pressure on increasing rates. The mortgage market is currently highly volatile, but if the next inflation figures were better than expected, sentiment on rates could change. This may sound like clutching at straws, but it may prove interest rates of 5-6% are unsustainable given so many have become accustomed to low rates. But, whatever happens, to demand, it doesn’t alter the long-term problems of low investment and low productivity, which will not be helped by the current problems."
What does this mean? It just means if you don't need it don't buy it until you do need it. CPU prices on all current generations are destined to fall and follow a steady declination in pricing over the rest of this year. (edited)
CeX sell it for £370, wonder if they'll drop it at all? Probably not, lol.
I've got bits from everywhere, but had PSU, M.2 and Ram on Scan with a few prospective motherboards in their basket.
I also had the 7800xm3 in my Amazon basket for £405 with Starfield and the price went up by £9 this afternoon. I was just checking the Scan price for everything again and saw the deal with Starfield. Yippee!!!
It's quite sad that I got annoyed at Amazon putting the price up by so little and so overjoyed at Scan dropping theirs and including the game, considering that I have Game Pass Ultimate and I can play it for free. First world problems.
Great post heat added. Now to chase up my Asus 4070Ti Tuf gaming card and get the delivery expedited to next day.
Now the hard bit finding a motherboard that works with them. I want a DDR5 board, with WiFi 6e, PCIe 5.0 for around £180 to £250. (edited)
Might try and sell the glasses and the game but damn it needs to verify the hardware so gotta complete the build.
I mainly fly on Microsoft flight simulator in VR which this process with the vcache excels at but I don't think i can bring myself to switch everything over.
The real decision is if you don't already have either CPU buy whichever is cheapest on the cheapest platform so look at CPU + Motherboard + DDR5 total cost. (edited)
Am i best to wait until Zen5?
You would see some improvement, but not enough to warrant the cost of the new CPU, MB and RAM (that goes for Zen5 too). (edited)
I bought a GPU from a different retailer earlier on and they sent a code with the order/invoice paperwork and need to claim this via the AMD rewards site. (edited)
